Need a professional Rubbish Collection? Call The Rubbish Removers!
The Rubbish Removers are the region’s longest-established family-run professional rubbish collection and property clearance service. We cover the whole of the North West, Greater Manchester, and Yorkshire.
We are confident our level of customer service is unrivalled. Our Customer feedback is consistently 5* star rated and this is not by coincidence. When you choose The Rubbish Removers to clear your waste, you receive a bespoke service, tailored to your specific needs. To see some examples of our work visit our Instagram.
From the first phone call. Our team in the office will be happy to help answer any questions and put your mind at ease. Furthermore, we have a vast experience over the years. Whatever you may present us with, we will be able to provide a solution.
Our uniformed removal teams are polite, professional and passionate in keeping the quality of service high. Therefore this is why we pay them over the national living wage.
The service you receive does not end when we drive away from your property. We go on to dispose of all the rubbish we collect at an industry-leading transfer station. Diverting over 95% of waste from landfill. Alongside this, we do our very best to donate good quality furniture to charity shops. However this is currently on pause because of covid.
Cheapest does not mean best!
You may wonder why we charge £90 + VAT to remove a three- piece suite, when others on Facebook only charge £25 cash. Basically this will more than likely fly-tipped. You cannot legally dispose of them for £25. Therefore you must ask yourself: do you want an unlicensed, uninsured along with an unprofessional person to remove it? Or would you rather choose a reliable, professional and ethical business like The Rubbish Removers?
Finally, we are fully licensed and insured, and we have the expertise to clear your waste in any situation.
How will a third lockdown affect our rubbish collections service?
In May I wrote a blog explaining how we were adapting our rubbish collections service to meet the government’s guidelines regarding the pandemic. Wishfully, the blog started “With the UK hopefully past the peak of Covid-19”. If only that had been true.
Eight months on and entering our third national lockdown, we feel this is a suitable time to issue a second statement on the situation.
In short, we are continuing to operate as we have been doing. The past 8 months have been a huge learning curve and we have changed the way in which we work. We can now confidently say we are working in such a way that reduces the risk to our staff and our customers to an absolute minimum.
Most significantly, we have reduced contact with customers. This ranges from no longer shaking customers’ hands and reduced handling of money, to providing completely contactless house clearances. Whereby we can collect keys, provide pictures on completion and take payment over the phone.
Furthermore, where contact is not unavoidable, we are socially distancing from customers and only entering premises where it is absolutely necessary.
Our teams also have access to sanitizer so we can ensure no contamination on card machines, invoices or receipts.
Pick up the phone To Arrange Your Rubbish Collections
We feel it is important to keep an open line of communication with our customers. If you have any questions whatsoever do not hesitate to pick up the phone. We will always be happy to answer your questions and put your mind at ease.
Looking forward To The Rest Of 2021
We are only on our third day of work in 2021 and we have already started with a bang. We would like to say a huge thank you and wish a Happy New Year to our loyal customers who continue to use us. Also to new customers using our services for the first time, we hope to see you again. Your feedback means the world to us and confirms the whole team is achieving the high level of service we aim to provide.
I would also like to thank each member of staff for their hard work in the past year. Our team range from 20 years of service to 5 months, and across the board everyone has stepped up to the mark to give each of our customers the quality of service we strive for. As we continue to grow and our workforce expands it is of the upmost importance we maintain this quality. So far we are confident this has been achieved.
Congratulations to new starters Brad and Tom. Both have exceeded expectations across the board and also passed their HGV tests in December on their first try. Subsequently, they can now drive our 7.5-ton trucks.
Furthermore, we plan to clean up the region and clean up the industry. Therefore, building trust that in an industry known for con-men and fly-tippers The Rubbish Removers are the good guys!

Really impressive service. Emailed on Saturday, everything gone and cleaned up by Monday morning. Friendly and efficient. On the whole can’t fault them. Therefore would definitely call them again for our post holiday clean-up. In my opinion the best out there.
We would also like wish everyone a Happy 2021 where times will be a lot brighter and heathier.
With the implications of COVID-19 and the ripple effect from the lockdown spreading across all industries of the economy. One thing we have particularly noticed is a huge increase in the cases of local fly-tipping across the region.
It’s no secret that our industry provides a place for local Fly-Tipping crooks and conmen to operate without a licence.
This is nothing new. However, a combination of more people being at home, generating more waste and local recycling facilities closing to the public for a number of weeks, has created a platform for these opportunists to cash in.
We see countless piles of waste dumped on country lanes, piles of fridges and mattresses dumped on wasteland and renovation waste tipped in laybys.
The clean up following this kind of tipping spree is profound and has huge financial implications at an already difficult time for victims. Furthermore, it’s your responsibillity to check where your waste ends up, and if you do not, you are liable to huge fines.
Our advice on this matter is to be VERY careful when choosing a rubbish removal or property clearance firm. If they do not openly display their waste carriers license on their website, this should raise alarm bells straight away.
Any reputable company carrying the required license will be very happy to show you a copy of their licence. If you are still unsure check the business out at:
Here is an example of a large pile of fly-tipped waste we cleared for a landowner in Manchester after lockdown. Trees hid the site, and access at the back of the field made it easy for vehicles to enter. As a result, fly-tipping increased on a commercial scale, with more than 10 van loads dumped before the issue was reported.
In these circumstances it is always important we act fast to remove the waste as quickly as possible. We had 4 teams work hard to clear the site over a 2 day period. We then dispose of all waste at an industry-leading waste transfer station and upwards of 90% diverts from landfill. As it should have been in the first place!
Established for over 20 years, we have developed a passion for the ethical disposal of all types of waste. We are a family run business and we ensure a professional & reliable service from the first phone call to the sweep up at the end.
Give us a call today and let our family help yours!
With the UK hopefully past the peak of Covid-19, we believe now is the right time to address the situation fully. We want to reassure our customers that we have put clear measures in place for all waste collections. You can trust that we are working with maximum care and will continue to do so.
We have always prioritised the safety of our staff and the quality of service we give our customers. Our response to the current situation reflects this commitment.
We made the difficult decision to stop operations completely for the first time in over 20 years. We did not take this choice lightly. However, we felt prioritising the safety of our community mattered far more than profit.
How Our Waste Collection’s Will Change Moving Forward?
We have now had time to put safe working measures in place for our teams. As a result, we can safely resume operations and carry out essential waste collections and rubbish removals in a controlled way. We have reduced contact to almost zero, and when contact is needed, our teams wear masks and use full sanitisation supplies in the vans to ensure safe interaction while following government guidance.social distancing guidelines.
Because of the nature of our work, we have the ability to reduce all contact with our customers. Payments can be made over the phone and our waste collection & house clearance teams can turn up with clear instructions on what is to be taken, remove these items, and load onto one of our trucks. We dispose of all waste professionally, legally, and ethically with upwards of 90% diverted from landfill.
We would like to praise our loyal customers, who in this unprecedented time awaited our reopening. Also to the many new customers who have booked in clearances with no set date, THANK YOU for understanding our circumstances. This has allowed us to steadily get through the backlog of work. If you have accumulated excess waste whilst on lockdown, please do not hesitate to get in touch and see how we can help.
Finally, we want to say a huge thank you to all the frontline workers. Teachers, delivery drivers, supermarket workers, and many more. But especially to the NHS staff. All of who in a time of uncertainty have stepped up and kept our country running.
A final message of importance.
Stay safe, make sure your waste is disposed of legally. If they cannot provide you with a licence number, steer clear!!
