How will a third lockdown affect our rubbish collections service?
In May I wrote a blog explaining how we were adapting our rubbish collections service to meet the government’s guidelines regarding the pandemic. Wishfully, the blog started “With the UK hopefully past the peak of Covid-19”. If only that had been true.
Eight months on and entering our third national lockdown, we feel this is a suitable time to issue a second statement on the situation.
In short, we are continuing to operate as we have been doing. The past 8 months have been a huge learning curve and we have changed the way in which we work. We can now confidently say we are working in such a way that reduces the risk to our staff and our customers to an absolute minimum.
Most significantly, we have reduced contact with customers. This ranges from no longer shaking customers’ hands and reduced handling of money, to providing completely contactless house clearances. Whereby we can collect keys, provide pictures on completion and take payment over the phone.
Furthermore, where contact is not unavoidable, we are socially distancing from customers and only entering premises where it is absolutely necessary.
Our teams also have access to sanitizer so we can ensure no contamination on card machines, invoices or receipts.
Pick up the phone
We feel it is important to keep an open line of communication with our customers. If you have any questions whatsoever do not hesitate to pick up the phone. We will always be happy to answer your questions and put your mind at ease.
We are only on our third day of work in 2021 and we have already started with a bang. We would like to say a huge thank you and wish a Happy New Year to our loyal customers who continue to use us. Also to new customers using our services for the first time, we hope to see you again. Your feedback means the world to us and confirms the whole team is achieving the high level of service we aim to provide.
I would also like to thank each member of staff for their hard work in the past year. Our team range from 20 years of service to 5 months, and across the board everyone has stepped up to the mark to give each of our customers the quality of service we strive for. As we continue to grow and our workforce expands it is of the upmost importance we maintain this quality. So far we are confident this has been achieved.
Congratulations to new starters Brad and Tom. Both have exceeded expectations across the board and also passed their HGV tests in December on their first try. Subsequently, they can now drive our 7.5-ton trucks.
Our sights are set high for 2021. Over the next 12 months, we are looking forward to solidifying our position as the number one Rubbish Removal and Property Clearance solution across the whole of the North West, Greater Manchester and Yorkshire.
Furthermore, we plan to clean up the region and clean up the industry. Therefore, building trust that in an industry known for con-men and fly-tippers The Rubbish Removers are the good guys!
