Professional two guy team removed the corner sofa with ease which I’ve had sitting in the flat years (council removal you need to book months in advance and somehow get the sofa to the curb on the pickup date). None I could do myself as based in London and only spend a few days up in Manchester at a time! Submitted the online form with a picture, and they were able to collect two days after! It wasn’t cheap but definitely glad to have the old corner sofa finally gone!

Household Furniture: Sofas, sectional suites, recliner chairs, heavy dining tables, wardrobes, and memory foam mattresses.
White Goods: American style fridges, washing machines, and freezers. We also provide secure WEEE Recycling to ensure electricals are degassed and handled properly.
General Domestic: Bags of household rubbish, old carpets, and outdated bathroom suites.
Prohibited Items: Please note we cannot take hazardous waste such as asbestos, gas bottles, or wet paint.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+vat. So ideal for a standalone bulky item like an American fridge, a heavy sofa, or a large wardrobe. This is a also cheaper and much faster option than organizing a council collection.
- Quarter Van Load: Roughly 20 to 30 bin bags or 2 to 3 cubic yards. therefore perfect for clearing out a box room or a small pile of outdated furniture.
- Half Van Load: Roughly 6 cubic yards or 50 to 60 bin bags. Also comparable capacity to a standard builder’s skip. Excellent for a garage clearance or a large master bedroom clear-out, with no skip permits required.
- Full Van Load: 12 to 14 cubic yards or 100+ bin bags. Suitable for full house clearances or substantial mill conversion projects.
You also only pay for the exact volume you use, making this a highly cost-effective Skip Hire Alternative. So get a Firm Price: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731.
Typical Jobs in Brighouse
Flood-Damaged Goods near the River Calder:
We cleared sodden carpets and ruined bulky furniture directly from the ground floor, therefore bypassing the need for a skip in high flood risk areas during the winter months.
Mill Conversion Waste near the Town Centre:
We removed old fixtures and heavy domestic waste using our Wait & Load method, easily avoiding the narrow parking restrictions and tight access points around Cromwell Bottom.
Household Furniture in Stone Terraces:
We safely navigated narrow staircases to remove a heavy mattress and a three piece suite, saving the residents from the struggle of dragging it out onto the pavement.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor? A: No, absolutely not. Our professional 2-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, basements, or apartments, doing all the heavy lifting safely so you do not have to strain your back.
Q: Do you take large or awkward items like American Fridges and Corner Sofas? A: Yes, we certainly do. We have the vehicles, tools, and expertise to handle large, awkward items, and our teams are trained to manoeuvre them without damaging your property.
Q: Is your disposal legal? A: Yes, absolutely. We hold a full Environment Agency licence (CBDU409710). We also provide a digital Waste Transfer Note after completion. This guarantees legal recycling at authorised transfer stations.
Q: Does Calderdale Council collect from inside my house? A: No, council bulky collections are strictly curbside only. This is especially difficult for residents living in Brighouse’s traditional stone terraces, where dragging heavy furniture to the street is both unsafe and highly impractical.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Brighouse, can you still help? A: Yes, we can. Our local crews know the area inside out and understand that parking near the town centre or along the older terraces can be tight. Our vans are far more mobile than skip lorries, allowing us to load quickly and safely without blocking the road.
Q: Can I take my own sofa or fridge to Atlas Mill Road Tip? A: Yes, but you need to plan carefully. Atlas Mill Road Recycling Centre is a small site near the town centre. Traffic builds up quickly and often causes gridlock. Staff also check tip permits against council tax bills. Our direct collection service offers a much easier, stress-free alternative.
