Why Choose Us for Mattress Removal in Brighouse?
We Collect From Inside: Unlike Calderdale Council’s kerbside collections, our uniformed crews will happily come directly into your upstairs bedroom to remove your mattress. You do not need to struggle with any heavy lifting yourself.
Protection & Care: Navigating the tight doorways and steep stairs often found in Brighouse’s older stone properties requires skill and experience. We take extra care to protect floors, walls and doorways, using protective coverings where needed to prevent scuffs or damage.
Speed: We offer a same-day mattress removal service whenever possible. So, if your new bed is arriving today, we can quickly collect your old mattress before it becomes a problem in your hallway or bedroom.
Complete Bed Clearances: Finally, we remove all types of mattresses and beds, including memory foam, pocket sprung and heavy adjustable beds. At the same time, we can also dismantle and remove bed frames for a complete hassle-free clearance service.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
We provide transparent pricing based purely on volume and weight. You only pay for the space you fill, making this a fantastic skip hire alternative without the costly permit fees.
Single Item
Prices start from £80+VAT. This option is ideal for removing a standalone bulky item, such as a king-size mattress or a heavy wardrobe.
Quarter Van Load
This is perfect for clearing a complete bed setup, including the mattress, divan base and headboard.
Half Van Load
This load size is comparable to a standard 6-yard skip, making it ideal for clearing a full master bedroom, including the bed, mattress, carpet and old furniture.
Full Van Load
Our full van load is the equivalent of two standard 8-yard skips. It is perfect for full house clearances or large multi-bedroom furniture upgrades.
– Send a photo of your items to 07802 860 731 for an instant quote.
Typical Jobs in Brighouse
Bedroom Clearance near the River Calder: We removed a heavy memory foam mattress as well as the bed frame from a modern riverside apartment using our quick Wait & Load service, helping the customer avoid skip permit issues in a flood-risk area.
Mill Conversion Furniture Removal: We safely carried an oversized mattress down the tight staircases of a historic mill conversion, saving residents from the difficult task of moving bulky furniture to the roadside themselves.
Stone Terrace Bedroom Clear-Out: Our two-man team cleared multiple mattresses and also old bedroom furniture from a traditional stone terrace, helping the customer avoid long queues and busy traffic at the local household waste site.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
– Absolutely not. Our two-man team will collect your mattress directly from upstairs bedrooms, basements, or apartments. You do not need to worry about any heavy lifting yourself.
Do you take large or awkward items like super-king mattresses or solid wooden frames?
– Yes, we take all sizes of mattresses and beds. We have the tools and experience needed to dismantle awkward bed frames and safely manoeuvre them through tight spaces.
Is your disposal legal?
– Yes. We are an Environment Agency Registered waste carrier (Licence CBDU409710). We provide a digital Waste Transfer Note for every job, ensuring your waste is disposed of legally and ethically at a licensed recycling centre.
Does Calderdale Council collect from inside my house?
– No, Calderdale Council operates a strict kerbside-only collection policy. You would need to move the mattress outside yourself, which can be extremely difficult in Brighouse’s traditional stone terraces and mill apartments.
I live on a narrow street in Brighouse, can you still help?
– Yes, absolutely. We understand that parking around older terraced streets can often be very tight. However, our collection vans are far more practical than large skip lorries, allowing us to load quickly without blocking the road.
Can I take my own mattress to the Atlas Mill Road tip?
– You can, but Calderdale Council strictly checks tip permits against council tax bills at Atlas Mill Road. The site is often extremely busy and heavily congested, especially at weekends. Our service helps you avoid the queues, the hassle and the heavy lifting.
