Great service. Everything went very smoothly from booking to collection. Arrived in agreed timeslot and all done in 10mins!

Brilliant service. Phone call to say they were on their way and they arrived on time. Took our reclining sofa apart and removed it from the room so we didn’t have to do that or get it outside. We had another sofa which was going to charity but they had booked for the wrong day, so we asked if The Rubbish Removers would take that too - no problem, just extra cost obviously. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend. Reasonable cost, comparable with other businesses.

Excellent. They let us know what time they will be here, turned up on time. Carried a washing machine down steep stairs through a narrow gap. Then took 2 items away, up the same steps. Friendly efficient. Highly recommend

Appliance Removal in Tameside – We Do The Heavy Lifting
For reliable Appliance Removal in Tameside you do not have to strain your back or worry about scratching your floors. Upgrading your home is exciting, but safely removing a heavy washing machine from a narrow red brick terrace in Ashton or down the steep hills of Mossley is hard work. You do not need to struggle with tight doorways or awkward stairs because our professional two-man teams collect heavy items directly from inside your lounge, kitchen or basement. As a family-run, Environment Agency Registered waste carrier based just down the road in Dukinfield (licence number CBDU409710), we ensure your old white goods are disposed of legally and ethically.
We provide a fast, cheerful alternative to waiting weeks for local council collections or sitting in weekend traffic queues at the Bayley Street tip. Whether you need an emergency same-day collection for a broken fridge or a scheduled removal before your new cooker arrives, you can call our North West head office on 0161 339 7938 to get it sorted quickly. We are also proud to be a Which? Trusted Trader as well as a Trading Standards Approved “Buy With Confidence” member. Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Single Item
Prices start from £80+VAT. This is ideal for a standalone bulky item like an American fridge or a heavy washing machine, making it a faster and easier choice than municipal collections.
Quarter Van Load
Roughly 20-30 bin bags or 2-3 cubic yards. This is perfect for clearing out multiple old kitchen appliances and packaging during a home refit.
Half Van Load
Roughly 6 cubic yards. In short, this offers a comparable capacity to a standard builders skip. It is ideal for a full kitchen strip-out without needing permit fees or a skip blocking your driveway.
Full Van Load
12-14 cubic yards with an 800kg payload. This is suitable for large domestic property clearances or heavy commercial appliance removals.

How It Works
- Get a Quote: Give us a call or fill in our contact form. You can WhatsApp a photo of the appliance to 07802 860 731.
- We Arrive: Our uniformed two-man team arrives in Tameside within a specific window. We also bring the right tools to easily navigate the narrow lanes and single-track roads common in areas like Stalybridge.
- We Remove: We carefully carry the heavy items out of your house, ensuring shared areas and hallways are kept safe. Once everything is out, we sweep the room clean so it is ready to use.
- Recycling: You receive a digital Waste Transfer Note (WTN) the very same day. Furthermore, 100% of fridges are properly de-gassed at authorised facilities and we proudly divert most of the waste from landfill.
Typical Jobs in Tameside
- Kitchen Refit in Denton: We removed an old, heavy cooker as well as a dishwasher directly from a kitchen on a 1970s estate. Our team did all the carrying, saving the Tameside homeowner a difficult and messy trip to the Ash Road tip.
- Fridge Removal in Mossley: We cleared a massive American fridge freezer from a beautiful stone cottage property. However, our two-man team managed the heavy lifting safely on a severe gradient where placing a skip would be highly dangerous.
- Rental Turnaround in Hyde: We carried out a rapid clearance for a local landlord, removing an old washing machine as well as broken furniture. We used our wait and load service to easily navigate the narrow Tameside terraced street and tight parking.
What We Take

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
A: No. Our professional two-man team happily collects from upstairs flats, basements or tight kitchens. We do all the heavy lifting safely so you never have to risk your back.
Q: Do you take large or awkward items like American Fridges?
A: Yes. We have the specific vehicles and tools to handle extremely heavy and large appliances safely. We plan stair access in advance to protect your property at all times.
Q: Is your disposal legal?
A: Yes. We are fully insured and licensed waste carriers (CBDU409710). We comply with all Duty of Care regulations and provide a proper paper trail for your records.
Q: Does Tameside Council collect from inside my house?
A: No. Tameside Council is strict on pavement-only collections. Dragging a heavy washing machine to the pavement is incredibly difficult, especially for residents living in the steep stone cottages of Mossley or the dense terraced streets of Ashton.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Tameside, can you still help?
A: Yes. We know that parking on the narrow lanes in Stalybridge or the terraced grids in Hyde can be incredibly tight. Our vans are highly mobile and we load quickly to avoid inconveniencing your neighbours.
Q: Can I take my own fridge to the local tip?
A: You can, but it is heavy work and often requires waiting in line. The Bayley Street tip in Stalybridge frequently has queues backing up to the Tesco roundabout. Using our service means you can sit back with a cup of tea while we do the hard work for you.
