Excellent service from Rubbish Removals. Arrived on time and considering they had a fair length down a long path to reach their truck, they removed quite a lot of kitchen appliances and a piece of furniture in next to no time. Would definitely recommend. Good price too, cheaper than local Council.

Why Choose Us for Appliance Removal in Ormskirk?
We Collect From Inside: Unlike the pavement only collections from West Lancashire Borough Council, we come right into your lounge, kitchen or bedroom to do the heavy lifting.
Protection and Care: We look after floors, walls and also doorways when moving bulky items, using protection where needed to prevent scratches.
Speed: Same-day options are available if you call early. In addition to this, we navigate around local bottlenecks so you are not left waiting.
WEEE Recycling: We handle electricals and fridges properly. All appliances go to authorised treatment facilities for safe processing.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+VAT. This option is perfect for a standalone bulky item like a fridge, washing machine or cooker.
- Half Van Load: Roughly 6 cubic yards or 50-60 bin bags. In short, this is a comparable capacity to a standard 6-yard skip but acts as a perfect skip hire alternative with no permit fees.
- Quarter Van Load: Roughly 20-30 bin bags or 2-3 cubic yards. Great for clearing out a utility room with a couple of appliances and extra junk.
- Full Van Load: 12-14 cubic yards or 100+ bin bags with an 800kg payload. This is ideal for full student HMO strip-outs or large domestic clearances.
You only pay for the space you fill, unlike a skip where you pay for air.
Get a Price: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731.
How It Works
1. Get a Quote: Give us a call or fill in our contact form. You can also WhatsApp a photo of the item to 07802 860 731.
3. We Remove: We disconnect your old appliance as well as carefully carry it out, ensuring shared areas are kept clean and safe while we work.
2. We Arrive: Our uniformed 2-man team arrives in a specific window and we will give you a quick call 30 minutes prior.
4. Recycling: 100% of Ormskirk fridges are safely de-gassed and we also issue a digital Waste Transfer Note every time for your records.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
A: No. Our 2-man team collects from upstairs, basements or Ormskirk apartments, doing all the lifting safely.
Q: Do you take large/awkward items like American Fridges?
A: Yes. We have the vehicles as well as the tools to handle large items and carefully plan lift and stair access in advance.
Q: Is your disposal legal?
A: Yes. Because we are an Upper Tier Waste Carrier under licence CBDU409710, we guarantee safe disposal and fulfilling your Duty of Care.
Q: Does West Lancashire Borough Council collect from inside my house?
A: No. West Lancashire Borough Council is strict on pavement only collection. However, this is physically difficult for residents living in terraced properties or upper-floor student HMOs.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Ormskirk, can you still help?
A: Yes. We know that navigating the town centre is tight. Our local crews know the area and use smaller vans to access places skip lorries cannot reach.
Q: Can I take my own fridge to the Abbey Reed tip?
A: You can, but driving to the Abbey Reed Recycling Centre in Burscough is a trek. You also face strict van permit restrictions if you try to borrow a vehicle, so let us do the hard work for you.
