James and Cameron were brilliant when clearing a top floor flat in Middleton. Super quick even though they had to use stairs all the way down and up. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Why Choose Us for Bulky Waste Collection in Ormskirk?
We Collect From Inside
To begin with, unlike the local council kerbside service, we come directly into your lounge, kitchen or bedroom. You never need to drag heavy furniture out into the street.
Protection and Care
We take great care of your home throughout the process. Floors, walls and doorways are fully protected while our professional teams safely manoeuvre awkward items through tight Victorian doors and narrow staircases.
Speed and Flexibility
We offer AM or PM time slots, along with a quick call around 30 minutes before arrival so you are never left waiting. In many cases, same-day service is also available, which is ideal when working around busy Thursday and Saturday market traffic.
Rooms Left Ready
We do not just remove items and leave. Instead, we thoroughly sweep the area once the space is clear, leaving your room clean, tidy and ready to use immediately.

What We Take
- Sofas and Seating: Sectionals, recliners, Chesterfield sofas as well as heavy sofa beds.
- Bedroom Furniture: Memory foam mattresses, King size bed frames, headboards and also wardrobes.
- White Goods: American style fridges, chest freezers and also under-counter units.
- General Household: Large tables, carpets, display cabinets as well as bulky black bag waste.
- Garden & Outdoor Items: Garden furniture sets, broken fencing panels, old sheds, BBQs, plant pots and outdoor storage boxes.
- Office & Miscellaneous: Office desks, filing cabinets, office chairs, broken exercise equipment and mixed bulky clutter from lofts, garages or storage rooms.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
SINGLE ITEM:
To begin with, prices start from £80+ VAT. This option is ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a fridge, sofa or wardrobe. It is significantly faster and more convenient than waiting for a council bulky collection.
QUARTER VAN LOAD:
This covers roughly 20–30 bin bags or 2–3 cubic yards. It’s great for clearing a box room, an under-stairs cupboard or a small pile of unwanted furniture.
HALF VAN LOAD:
This option provides around 6 cubic yards or 50–60 bin bags. For example, it offers a comparable capacity to a standard 6-yard skip and is ideal for a large master bedroom clear-out or a full living room suite.
FULL VAN LOAD:
This is our largest option at 12–14 cubic yards, holding 100+ bin bags or an 800kg payload. So, it’s perfect for full house clearances or removing multiple heavy items during an end-of-tenancy clean.
Customers only pay for the space they fill, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air. Get a free quote by sending a photo of your items to 07802 860 731.
Typical Jobs in Ormskirk
Student HMO Strip-out near Edge Hill: For example, we cleared heavy bedroom furniture via a rapid wait-and-load service to beat the July student turnover and help prevent neighbourhood fly-tipping. This was carried out near Edge Hill University, ensuring a fast and efficient turnaround for busy HMO landlords.
Victorian Villa Clearance in the Town Centre: We removed bulky sofas and also the carpets directly from an upstairs lounge in a Victorian property. We carefully timed our arrival to avoid gridlock during busy market days in Ormskirk.
Agricultural Property Clearance in Burscough: We collected old household appliances as well as some bulky waste from a rural property in Burscough, saving the customer a frustrating trip to the busy Abbey Reed tip and providing a far more convenient solution.

Frequently Asked Questions
– Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No. To begin with, our professional 2-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, basements or apartment buildings, doing all the heavy lifting safely for you.
– Do you take large or awkward items like American Fridges and Corner Sofas?
Yes. We have the right vehicles and tools to handle large items. We can also dismantle oversized furniture safely to get it through narrow doorways.
– Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We operate legally under the Environment Agency as a licensed waste carrier (CBDU409710). We also provide a digital Waste Transfer Note instantly upon completion.
– Does West Lancashire Borough Council collect from inside my house?
No. In contrast, the council operates a strict kerbside-only policy, which can be difficult for residents in Ormskirk’s terraced properties or upper-floor flats.
– I live on a narrow street in Ormskirk, can you still help?
Yes. We understand that parking around the town centre or near the university can be exceptionally tight. Our vans provide a highly mobile man-and-van clearance service that can access areas skip wagons cannot reach.
– Can I take my own sofa or fridge to the Abbey Reed tip in Burscough?
You can, however driving to Abbey Reed often involves heavy local traffic. The tip enforces strict van permit rules, meaning you may be turned away if you are using a hired or commercial-style vehicle.
