Why Choose Us for Bulky Waste Collection in Leeds?

We Collect From Inside Your Property: Unlike Leeds City Council, which strictly operates a pavement only policy, we come into your lounge, kitchen or bedroom to retrieve your items. This is essential for residents in city centre apartments or back-to-back terraces where leaving items on the street is simply not an option. We do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to.

Protection for Your Home: Moving bulky furniture through narrow Victorian hallways or modern apartment lifts requires care. Therefore, our teams are experienced in manoeuvring awkward items like corner sofas and American-style fridges without marking your walls or damaging flooring. We take the utmost care to leave your property exactly as we found it, minus the rubbish.

Immediate Response: When your new furniture is being delivered, you need the old items gone immediately. Therefore, we offer a fast, reliable same-day service to ensure you aren’t left with a mattress blocking your hallway. Moreover, we act as the “Emergency Service” for waste, providing a specific arrival window and a call 30 minutes before we arrive.

We Take What Others Won’t: From large sectionals and recliners to heavy appliances and dismantled wardrobes, we handle it all. If you have bed frames that need dismantling, we have the tools and the manpower to handle that on-site, saving you the hassle of breaking them down yourself.

Recent Jobs in Leeds

• Sofa Removal in Headingley: We cleared a large corner sofa from a student HMO. Due to the busy street parking on the “Otley Run” route, a skip was impossible. Our team used a “Wait & Load” service to clear the item in under 20 minutes without requiring a road permit.

• Office Clearance in Leeds City Centre: A firm in the Financial District needed twenty desks removed from a 4th-floor office. We utilised the service lift and coordinated with building management to ensure no disruption to other tenants, recycling the furniture at a licensed facility.

• Fridge Collection in Harehills: A resident in a back-to-back terrace needed an American fridge freezer removed. The narrow front door made it difficult, but our team removed the doors of the appliance to safely extract it without scratching the paintwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
A: No. Our professional two-man teams will collect items from anywhere in your property, whether that is a 3rd-floor apartment, a basement or an upstairs bedroom. We handle all the heavy lifting safely and efficiently.

Q: Do you take large or awkward items like American Fridges?
A: Yes. We have large Luton vans and the necessary tools to handle bulky American fridge freezers, large corner sofas and heavy wardrobes. If an item needs dismantling to fit through a door, we can take care of that for you.

Q: Does Leeds City Council collect from inside my house?
A: No. Leeds City Council’s bulky collection service is strictly pavement only. Therefore, this can be extremely difficult for residents in back-to-back terraces in areas like Harehills or Beeston where pavement space is limited and moving heavy items alone is dangerous.

Q: I live on a narrow street in Headingley, can you still help?
A: Yes. We know that parking in student areas like Headingley and Hyde Park can be tight. Unlike skip lorries which struggle with narrow, car-lined streets, our vans are agile and can park in loading bays or driveways. We use a “Wait & Load” method to clear your waste without blocking the road.

Q: Can I take my own sofa to Kirkstall Tip?
A: You can, but be aware that Kirkstall (and other Leeds HWRCs like Seacroft) often requires you to book a slot in advance and the sites are notoriously busy. Furthermore, if you borrow a van to move the item, you may be turned away or require a specific permit. We save you the time, fuel and hassle.
