I have had a couple of bookings with The Rubbish Removers in the past six months (once for a corner sofa and recently for a mattress) and they’ve been great! They were flexible on the dates, on time and professional. Would definitely recommend!

Really great service, the guys arrived on time and cleared my garden rubbish quickly and efficiently, despite it not being the nicest of rubbish! Left everything tidy and checked that all was ok before leaving. Would definitely recommend this business.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+VAT. Ideal for a standalone bulky item like a dismantled garden bench or an old mattress.
- Quarter Van Load: Roughly 20-30 bin bags or 2-3 cubic yards. In other words, this is equivalent to a dismantled small shed (6×4) or a minor garden tidy-up.
- Half Van Load: Roughly 6 cubic yards. In short, this is comparable capacity to a standard 6-yard builders skip. This is ideal for clearing a large decking strip-out or extensive landscaping debris.
- Full Van Load: 12-14 cubic yards or an 800kg payload. A massive capacity equivalent to two 8-yard skips. This is perfect for major garden overhauls or clearing heavily overgrown grounds.
Get a Price: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731.
Typical Jobs in Halifax

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you take bagged soil, rubble and bricks?
A: Yes. We charge by weight as well as volume, meaning we happily take heavy inert waste like bags of soil and rubble that many others refuse.
Q: Do you dismantle sheds or garden structures?
A: Yes. Full dismantling and removal of sheds, greenhouses and also old decking is all part of our comprehensive service.
Q: Will you clean up the mess afterwards?
A: Yes. We pride ourselves on the fact that we also sweep up. Your driveway, garden path or patio will be left completely spotless once the van is loaded.
Q: Do I need a skip permit for Halifax?
A: Only if you hire a skip. Calderdale Council requires permits for skips placed on the road, which can be slow and also costly. However, our Wait & Load service requires no permit at all.
Q: Will Calderdale Council take my DIY/Garden waste?
A: Most councils, including Calderdale Council, have strict limitations and often refuse bags of soil, heavy rubble and dismantled sheds through their standard bulky waste collections.
Q: Can you collect from properties with difficult access in Halifax?
A: Yes. We know local roads and are highly experienced at navigating the steep hills, deep valleys and narrow weavers cottages found throughout the Halifax area.
