Brill company, we had a room FULL of mixed items we needed to be rid of, the process was super easy and simple, just a quick phone call, some photos, and bobs your uncle. The two lads they sent over (many apologies but i have forgotten their names) were super nice and hard working, they had too do many trips up and down the stairs, but they powered through and had the job done in under two hours! Would recommend, and thankyou guys :)

Easy to use service from booking to collection of the mattresses. Quick responses when booking, great communication throughout. On the day, prompt collection by two very pleasant lads ( despite the sudden hailstorm!!) An excellent, efficient service at a very fair price. Thanks a lot.

Why Choose Us for Mattress Removal in Formby?
- We Collect From Inside: Unlike Sefton Council, which strictly enforces a kerbside-only policy, we come directly into your property. Our uniformed teams handle all the heavy lifting from your master bedroom or loft space.
- Protection and Care: Manoeuvring a heavy king-size or memory foam mattress down twisting staircases requires real skill. We take great care to protect your floors, walls and doorways throughout the entire process.
- Speed: We offer same-day service options so you are not left waiting around. This is ideal when your new mattress is arriving today and you need the old one removed quickly.
- Complete Bed Clearances: We take all styles of mattresses. Bed frame removal is fully included if you need the entire setup cleared in one visit.

Typical Jobs in Formby
Estate Clearance near Formby Pinewoods
We cleared multiple heavy mattresses using our convenient Wait & Load service. There was no need for a skip, which helped protect the customer’s sandy driveway from sinking damage.
Bedroom Upgrade in Freshfield
We removed a super king memory foam mattress and heavy wooden frame directly from a second-floor master suite. We ensured the freshly painted walls remained completely spotless throughout the process.
Bulky Waste Collection near Freshfield Station
We used smaller, agile vans to access a property with high-security gates. We were able to complete the clearance efficiently, where traditional 18-tonne skip wagons could not gain access.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+VAT. This option is ideal for a standalone heavy memory foam mattress or a double bed frame. It is a fast and cost-effective alternative to a council collection.
- Quarter Van Load: This is roughly equivalent to 20 to 30 bin bags. For example, it is perfect for clearing out a guest bedroom setup with ease.
- Half Van Load: This offers a capacity comparable to a standard builders skip. For example, it’s great for a large master bedroom clear-out, including the bed, wardrobes and old carpets.
- Full Van Load: This is a massive 12 to 14 cubic yards. It is suitable for full estate clearances or multi-room bedroom upgrades.

Frequently Asked Questions
– Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
Absolutely not. Our experienced two-man team collects heavy mattresses and bed frames directly from upstairs bedrooms or loft conversions, doing all the heavy lifting safely.
– Do you take large or awkward items?
Yes, we handle super king sizes, heavy memory foam and bulky divan bases. We have the correct vehicles and manual handling training to manage large items with ease.
– Is your disposal legal?
Yes, we are fully compliant with environmental laws. You will receive a Waste Transfer Note and we operate under Environment Agency licence CBDU409710, ensuring ethical and responsible recycling.
– Does Sefton Council collect from inside my house?
No, the local council is strictly kerbside only. Removing a heavy mattress from a large detached Formby property to the pavement can be difficult, which is why our internal collection service is preferred.
– I have a narrow gated driveway in Formby, can you still help?
Yes, we regularly work around high-security gates and narrow private access roads in Formby. Our Wait & Load vans are far more mobile than heavy skip lorries and will not sink into soft sandy driveways.
– Can I take my own mattress to Altcar Road Tip?
You can, however the Altcar Road recycling centre is very small and strictly enforces no-trade rules. Therefore, if you arrive in a borrowed van with a mattress, you may be questioned or turned away by staff.
Save your back and your walls!
