I've used Rubbish Removers twice now. They're efficient, reasonably priced and reliable. If I have anything else I need to have removed I wouldn't hesitate to book them again
Sue H.5 March 2025 · Google review
Excellent. They let us know what time they will be here, turned up on time. Carried a washing machine down steep stairs through a narrow gap. Then took 2 items away, up the same steps. Friendly efficient. Highly recommend

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Single Item Collection:
– Firstly, prices start from just £80 + VAT, making this option ideal for removing one bulky appliance such as a broken fridge or heavy washing machine. It is often faster and more convenient than waiting for a council collection.
Quarter Van Load:
– This option is perfect for kitchen renovations or small clear-outs, allowing you to remove multiple appliances such as an old oven, dishwasher and microwave in one visit.
Half Van Load:
– A half van load offers a similar capacity to a standard 6-yard builders’ skip. It is ideal for larger property appliance clearances without the delays or hassle of arranging council collection slots.
Full Van Load:
– Our largest option is perfect for major domestic clearances or commercial appliance removals from restaurants, offices and other business premises.
– We use transparent pricing based on the exact volume your items take up in our van. Customers only pay for the space they fill. Get a Free Quote: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take large and awkward items like American fridges?
Yes, absolutely. We are fully equipped with the right vehicles and tools to manage oversized and exceptionally heavy appliances, including American-style fridge freezers and similar bulky items with ease.
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No, you don’t. Our two-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, flats and even cellars. You never need to worry about moving heavy appliances yourself, as we handle all the lifting safely and carefully from start to finish.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes, completely. As an Upper Tier Waste Carrier (Licence CBDU409710), we fully comply with regulations. We ensure your Duty of Care is met by transporting all appliances to authorised treatment facilities for safe and responsible processing.
Does Barnsley Council collect from inside my house?
No. Instead, the local council operates a strict kerbside-only policy. Residents in Barnsley’s traditional colliery terraces often face difficulty moving heavy appliances like washing machines to the pavement.
I live on a narrow street with tight parking in Barnsley, can you still help?
Yes, certainly. We regularly work in older terraced areas where on-street parking is very limited. Our wait-and-load service allows us to collect quickly without blocking the street for long periods.
Can I take my own fridge to the local tip at Smithies Lane or Worsbrough?
Yes, you can. However, you must handle all the heavy lifting yourself, which can be difficult and risky. Many customers prefer us to save them the trip, the effort and the potential for injury or vehicle damage.
Save your back and your walls!
