I have had a couple of bookings with The Rubbish Removers in the past six months (once for a corner sofa and recently for a mattress) and they’ve been great! They were flexible on the dates, on time and professional. Would definitely recommend!

Extremely satisfying experience. The shed and contents were removed within 3 days of booking the job and I only have high praise for Mike and Alan who were very efficient in completing the job in double quick time and they left a very clean area.. I would definitely recommend THE RUBBISH REMOVERS and would use them again if I needed to. They are very efficient and professional.

Excellent service from Rubbish Removals. Arrived on time and considering they had a fair length down a long path to reach their truck, they removed quite a lot of kitchen appliances and a piece of furniture in next to no time. Would definitely recommend. Good price too, cheaper than local Council.

What We Take (Appliance Removal)
Fridges and Freezers: American style fridges, chest freezers, under-counter units.
Washing and Drying: Washing machines, tumble dryers, washer-dryer combos.
Cooking Appliances: Ovens, cookers, microwaves, extractor hoods.
General WEEE: Dishwashers, old radiators, broken heaters.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+vat. Therefore perfect for a standalone bulky item like a fridge or washing machine, and much faster than waiting for a council bulky collection.
- Quarter Van Load: Ideal for a single appliance alongside a small pile of leftover kitchen refit waste.
- Half Van Load: Comparable capacity to a standard builders skip without the need for council permits or blocking your terraced street.
- Full Van Load: Suitable for full property strip-outs where multiple white goods and large kitchen units need clearing safely.
Get a Firm Price: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731.
Typical Jobs in Wigan
Appliance Removal in Ince: We cleared an old washing machine and fridge via our Wait & Load service. Therefore avoided blocking the narrow back to back terraced rows.
Kitchen Clearance in Standish: We removed multiple heavy appliances and renovation debris from a semi-rural cottage, navigating tight rural lanes where a skip wagon could not fit.
White Goods Disposal in Leigh: We extracted a bulky American fridge freezer directly from the kitchen, also saving the owner from dragging it to the curb side for council collection.
How It Works
- Get a Quote: Give us a call, fill in our contact form or WhatsApp a photo of the item to 07802 860 731.
- We Arrive: Our two man team arrives in a specific window, fully equipped to navigate tight terraced doorways or narrow access lanes.
- We Remove: We safely disconnect your old fridge or cooker, carefully carry it out, and also sweep up any dust left behind.
- Recycling: You receive a Waste Transfer Note every time, therefore ensuring your Duty of Care is met and that fridges are de-gassed properly at authorised treatment facilities.

We provide fast collections across Wigan and the immediate surrounding districts including Ince, Leigh, Standish, Orrell, Hindley, and also Ashton-in-Makerfield.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor? A: No. Our two man team collects from upstairs flats, cellars, or kitchens. Also doing all the heavy lifting safely so you do not have to struggle.
Q: Do you take large or awkward items like American Fridges? A: Yes. We have the correct vehicles and lifting equipment to handle large items while protecting your floors and doorways.
Q: Is your disposal legal? A: Yes. We operate as a fully licensed Upper Tier Waste Carrier (CBDU409710) and provide a Waste Transfer Note for every collection. This ensures that licensed transfer stations handle and recycle your items legally.
Q: Does Wigan Council collect from inside my house? A: No. Wigan Council is strict on curb side only collection. This is therefore physically difficult for residents living in classic terraced properties without front gardens or driveways.
Q: Can I take my own fridge to Kirkless or Slag Lane tip? A: You can, but Wigan Council requires permits for vans at their HWRC sites. Kirkless is also notoriously busy, and borrowing a van might result in being turned away without the correct paperwork.
