Michelle G.6 July 2026 · Google review
Very fair priced, put enquiry in around 8am by 10.30am same day my two sofas were gone. Richard was very helpful on the phone with breaking down the pricing, when emailed to confirm was booked in straight away, Mike the driver was friendly and apologies I don’t know the name of the younger lad with him but both very good and efficient. Was able to pay cash as was given phone call saying 45 min until arrival. Was also informed happy to pay via card also when job complete. Will definitely use The Rubbish Removers in future as they are very fair priced and very reliable. Thank you guys will definitely be passing on your details to friends and family.

Why Choose Us for Sofa Removal in West Yorkshire?
We Collect From Inside
Unlike strict kerbside council collections, we come directly inside and handle the heavy lifting from your lounge, kitchen or bedroom. You do not need to move bulky furniture yourself.
Protection & Care
We understand how tricky narrow doors and tight hallways can be. Floors, walls, and lifts are carefully protected using specialist equipment to ensure no damage to your property.
Speed
If you need a quick solution, same-day options are available when you call early. For example, this is ideal if your brand-new suite is arriving today and you urgently need the space cleared.
All Styles Taken
Finally, we dismantle and remove all types of seating, including large sectionals, heavy electric recliners, classic Chesterfields and also bulky sofa beds.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Single Item: Prices start from £80 + VAT, making it ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a two-seater sofa or heavy recliner. In most cases, this is cheaper and faster than a council bulky waste collection.
Quarter Van Load: Typically, this equals around 20–30 bin bags or 2–3 cubic yards. It is perfect for removing a full three-piece suite or a large corner sofa.
Half Van Load: At roughly 6 cubic yards, this option offers a capacity similar to a standard builders’ skip. It works well for clearing a full living room along with additional household waste.
Full Van Load: Finally, our largest option holds 12–14 cubic yards, which is roughly the same as two standard 8-yard skips. It is ideal for full house clearances or major rental property turnovers.
– You only pay for the exact volume your items take up in our van, rather than paying for fresh air in a skip.

Typical Jobs in West Yorkshire

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No, you do not. Our professional two-man team collects items from upstairs rooms, basements and also high-rise apartments. In other words, we handle all the heavy lifting safely so you do not have to lift a finger.
Do you take large or awkward items like corner sofas?
Yes, absolutely. We regularly remove large and awkward furniture. If needed, we use the right tools to dismantle oversized sectionals or heavy sofa beds so they can safely fit through your doorways.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We are fully licensed by the Environment Agency (Licence CBDU409710). We provide a digital Waste Transfer Note for every job, giving you complete peace of mind.
I live on a narrow street in West Yorkshire. Can you still help?
Yes, of course. Parking in places like Hebden Bridge or the steep terraces of Bradford can be tight. However, our mobile vans use a wait-and-load approach, allowing us to work efficiently without needing skip permits.
