Really pleased with the way the men removed our shed. No fuss - just a good job done
Peter T.7 April 2025 · Google review
Brilliant service. Phone call to say they were on their way and they arrived on time. Took our reclining sofa apart and removed it from the room so we didn’t have to do that or get it outside. We had another sofa which was going to charity but they had booked for the wrong day, so we asked if The Rubbish Removers would take that too - no problem, just extra cost obviously. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend. Reasonable cost, comparable with other businesses.

Great service from Tom and Damien today. They came to remove a bin shelter shed. They were friendly and efficient and I’m very happy with the job they did, thanks!

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+VAT, equivalent to 10 to 15 bags. Perfect for clearing a sudden backlog of missed black bin bags or extra bulky packaging.
- Half Van Load: Roughly 6 cubic yards or 50-60 bin bags. Comparable capacity to a standard builders skip, making it great for extensive bulky waste collection.
- Quarter Van Load: Roughly 20-30 bin bags or 2-3 cubic yards. Ideal for clearing an overflowing communal bin store or handling a small garden tidy-up.
- Full Van Load: 12-14 cubic yards or 100+ bin bags. A large capacity equivalent to roughly two standard 8-yard skips, highly suitable for major commercial clearances.
You only pay for the exact volume you fill, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you take bags of soil, rubble and bricks alongside missed bin waste?
A: Yes, we certainly do. We charge by weight as well as volume, meaning we easily handle heavy inert waste like bagged soil and rubble that many local council bin collections simply refuse.
Q: Do you dismantle sheds or garden structures?
A: Yes, full dismantling and removal is a standard part of our service. We take down old sheds and clear all the contents away in one straightforward visit.
Q: Will you clean up the mess afterwards?
A: Yes, we always sweep up. Our team ensures your driveway, patio or bin store is left completely spotless before we consider the job finished.
Q: Do I need a skip permit for West Lancashire?
A: Only if you use a traditional skip on a public road. Councils require costly permits for skips on the street, but our wait and load service requires absolutely no permit.
Q: Will the local council take my excess DIY or garden waste?
A: Most local councils are very strict on excess waste, often enforcing a closed lid policy and also charging heavily for green bin collections. We offer a fast alternative to clear piled-up waste without the hassle.
Q: Can you collect from properties with difficult access in West Lancashire?
A: Yes, our dedicated local crews know the area inside out. Whether you live on a narrow rural lane or a busy modern estate, our vans can safely access spots where large skip wagons cannot fit.
