Why Choose Us for Mattress Removal in West Lancashire?
We Collect From Inside:
Unlike standard council services that enforce strict curbside rules, we are happy to come inside. Our two-man team will collect your mattress directly from the upstairs bedroom or loft.
Protection & Care:
Navigating tight corners and staircases with a heavy memory foam mattress is physically demanding. We take exceptional care to protect your floors, walls, and banisters, ensuring everything is looked after while we work.
Speed:
We know you often need an old bed gone the exact same day your new one arrives. We offer an emergency same-day response so you are never left with a mattress blocking your hallway.
Bed Frame Removal Included:
We do not just take the mattress. Our fully equipped teams can dismantle and remove all styles of bed frames, divans, and bulky headboards in one single trip.

What We Take (Mattress Removal)
- Memory foam and pocket sprung mattresses
- King size, super king, and double mattresses
- Wooden and metal bed frames
- Divan bases and bulky headboards
- Associated bedroom furniture (wardrobes, bedside tables)
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- SINGLE ITEM: Prices start from £80+vat. Ideal for a standalone bulky item like a king-size memory foam mattress or a heavy wooden bed frame. Cheaper and faster than council bulky collection.
- QUARTER VAN LOAD: Equivalent to roughly 20 to 30 bin bags. Perfect for clearing out a full bed setup, including the mattress, divan base, and a chest of drawers.
- HALF VAN LOAD: Roughly 6 cubic yards. Comparable capacity to a standard builders skip. Ideal for a large master bedroom clear-out where multiple pieces of furniture are being replaced.
- FULL VAN LOAD: 12 to 14 cubic yards. A large capacity equivalent to roughly two standard skips. Suitable for full house clearances or multi-bedroom rental turnovers.
Get a Firm Price: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731.
Typical Jobs in West Lancashire
Student Landlord Clearance in Plungington: We cleared heavily soiled mattresses and broken bed frames from a student HMO. We used a Wait & Load service to overcome the complete lack of parking bays on the narrow streets, ensuring the clearance was completed smoothly and efficiently.
Bedroom Renovation in Buckshaw Village: We removed a super-king mattress and dismantled a heavy wooden frame from a modern estate property. The homeowner avoided the hassle of arranging a skip, which was restricted due to local property covenants.
How It Works
- Get a Quote: Give us a call, fill in our contact form or WhatsApp a photo of your mattress to 07802 860 731.
- We Arrive: Our 2-man team arrives within a specific window and gives you a quick call when they are on the way.
- We Remove: We carefully manoeuvre the mattress down your stairs and out of your property. We always use protection where needed to look after flooring and doorways.
- Recycling: Every job comes with a proper Waste Transfer Note. Your old mattress and bed frame are transported to an authorised facility to ensure a high landfill diversion rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you collect mattresses from upstairs bedrooms? A: Yes. Unlike council collections, our team removes mattresses directly from inside your home. We safely handle stairs, tight spaces, and awkward access points while protecting your property.
Q: Can you remove all types of mattresses? A: Yes, we remove most mattress types, including memory foam, pocket sprung, hybrid, double, king-size, and super-king mattresses. We can often remove old bed frames and other bulky bedroom furniture at the same time.
Q: Does the local council collect from inside my house? A: No, local council collections in the Lancashire area are strictly curbside only. This is highly impractical if you live in a traditional terraced property or a top-floor flat. Our indoor collection service removes the physical strain of dragging items outside.
Q: I live on a narrow street with tight parking, can you still help? A: Yes, we can. We know that parking in high-density areas or modern estates can be very tight. Our bespoke clearance vans operate a Wait & Load system, meaning we load the mattress and leave immediately without blocking the road.
Q: Can I take my own mattress to the local tip? A: You can, but you must be careful with the strict rules. Local tips like the Tom Benson Way HWRC or Buckingham Way strictly enforce appointment systems and often require van permits. If you borrow a van to transport your mattress, you will likely be turned away at the gate.
