Fridge Removal in Warrington – We Do The Heavy Lifting
For fast, reliable Fridge Removal in Warrington, our professional two-man teams are ready to tackle the heavy lifting so you don’t have to. Whether you are replacing a bulky American-style freezer in a modern home in Great Sankey or clearing an old under-counter unit from a terraced property in Latchford, moving white goods is often a struggle due to their weight and the tight corners typical of local housing. However, The Rubbish Removers Ltd eliminates this stress by collecting your appliance directly from your kitchen, utility room or garage, ensuring you avoid the risk of injury or damage to your home.
We are a fully licensed Upper Tier Waste Carrier (CBDU409710) and a family-run business with over 25 years of experience serving the North West. As a Which? Trusted Trader as well as a member of the Trading Standards “Buy With Confidence” scheme, we guarantee that your appliance will be handled legally and ethically, with 100% of fridges de-gassed and recycled at authorised facilities. For a free, instant quote or same-day collection, call our team on 0161 339 7938. You can also send a photo to 07802 860 731.
Why Choose Us for Fridge Removal in Warrington?
Removing a fridge involves more than just strength; it requires care and the right logistics, especially given the “Warrington Traffic” around the box of motorways and the town centre.
• We Collect From Inside: Unlike the local council, who strictly require items to be left on the pavement, we come into your property to collect. This is essential for residents in Stockton Heath or Latchford, where leaving a large appliance on a narrow pavement is often impossible or unsafe.
• Protection & Care: We treat your home with respect. Our uniformed staff are also trained to manoeuvre heavy appliances through tight hallways and doors without scratching your walls or damaging your flooring.
• Same-Day Service Available: If your new fridge is being delivered today, you can’t afford to have the old one taking up space. We offer rapid response times to get the old unit out of your way immediately.
• All Models Handled: From massive American style fridge freezers to commercial chest freezers, we have the vehicles and manpower to handle any size of unit.
The Rubbish Removers vs. Warrington Council Bulk Collection
Many residents assume the council is the only option, but the service limitations often make it impractical for heavy appliances.
| Feature | The Rubbish Removers | Warrington Council |
|---|---|---|
| Collection Point | Any Room/Inside (We disconnect & carry) | Pavement Only (You must drag it out) |
| Speed | Same Day/24 Hours | Variable (Often weeks wait) |
| Heavy Lifting | 2-Man Team Included | Zero Assistance |
| Specific Timing | 2-Hour Arrival Window (+30 min call ahead) | 7am – 5pm Window (All day wait) |

Typical Jobs in Warrington
• American Fridge Removal in Stockton Heath: We carefully removed a large double-door unit from a property with a high-value resin driveway. We used a “Wait & Load” approach to ensure no heavy equipment damaged the paving, navigating the narrow lanes efficiently.
• Chest Freezer Clearance in Latchford: A customer in a Victorian terrace needed a broken freezer removed from a cellar. Our team handled the steep stairs and tight access, saving the owner from a difficult manual handling task.
• Kitchen Appliance Disposal in Great Sankey: We collected an integrated fridge and a dishwasher from a modern estate renovation. The team arrived within 24 hours of the enquiry, allowing the kitchen fitters to continue work without delay.
How It Works
We have refined our process to be as simple and clean as possible.
1. Get a Quote: Give us a call on 0161 339 7938 or WhatsApp a photo of your fridge to 07802 860 731.
2. We Arrive: Our uniformed two-man team arrives in a specific window. We give you a courtesy call 30 minutes before we get there.
3. We Remove: We carefully disconnect the unit (if plumbed in) and carry it out of your property using protective equipment.
4. Recycling: You receive a Waste Transfer Note immediately. Your fridge is taken to a licensed facility to be safely de-gassed and recycled.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the fridge to the ground floor?
A: No. Our service includes two strong team members who will collect the item from anywhere in the property, whether that is an upstairs flat, a basement or a garage. We do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to.
Q: Is your disposal legal? Absolutely. We are an Environment Agency Registered carrier (CBDU409710). Fridges contain harmful gases that must be recovered properly; we ensure 100% of the units we collect are treated at authorised WEEE recycling facilities.
Q: Does Warrington Council collect from inside my house?
A: No. Warrington Council’s bulky waste collection is strictly pavement only. However, this can be a major issue for residents in terraced properties in areas like Latchford, where getting a heavy fridge to the pavement safely is difficult or impossible for a single person.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Stockton Heath, can you still help?
A: Yes. We know that parking in Stockton Heath and the older parts of Warrington can be very tight. Our vans are much more mobile than skip lorries or large council dustcarts, allowing us to park closer to your property for safe loading.
Q: Can I take my own fridge to Gatewarth or Stockton Heath tip?
A: You can, but be cautious. Stockton Heath tip is a small site that is frequently full or congested. Gatewarth is larger but strictly enforces rules regarding “out of town” visitors and often has long queues. If you borrow a van to move it, you may be turned away without a pre-registered permit. We save you the queue and the hassle.
