Why Choose Us for Fridge removal in Wakefield?
We Collect From Inside: Unlike the Council, which insists on pavement only collection, our in-house staff are happy to come inside and do the heavy lifting. However, we take your fridge directly from your kitchen, garage or cellar.
Protection & Care: Floors, walls and doorways are looked after while we work. We know how to navigate bulky white goods through the tight colliery rows and narrow terraced streets found across Wakefield.
Speed: If you contact us in the morning, we will always try to offer a same-day collection. This is perfect for when your new appliance is arriving today and you need the space cleared fast.
WEEE Recycling: Proper handling of electricals and fridges is guaranteed. We also ensure 100% of fridges are safely degassed and processed at authorised treatment facilities.

Typical Jobs in Wakefield
– Fridge removal in Castleford: We cleared a heavy American fridge freezer directly from the kitchen, navigating the narrow streets of the colliery rows without needing any skip permits.
– Appliance removal in Pontefract: We removed an old chest freezer via our Wait & Load service, avoiding the tight on-street parking issues common in traditional terraced areas.
– Kitchen strip-out in Wakefield city centre: We cleared multiple under-counter fridges and white goods from a modern distribution hub office. We also provided a full Waste Transfer Note for their commercial records.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
A: No. Our 2-man team collects from upstairs flats, cellars or kitchens, doing all the heavy lifting safely so you do not have to lift a finger.
Q: Do you take large/awkward items like American Fridges?
A: Yes. We have the vehicles as well as the tools to handle large, awkward items and we always plan lift and stair access in advance.
Q: Is your disposal legal?
A: Yes. We are also an Environment Agency Licensed Carrier (CBDU409710) and ensure 100% legal disposal with a fantastic landfill diversion rate. We also fulfill your Duty of Care.
Q: Does Wakefield Council collect from inside my house?
A: No. The council is strict on pavement-only collections. This is physically difficult and highly inconvenient if you live in one of Wakefield’s traditional terraced rows with no front garden.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Wakefield, can you still help?
A: Yes. We know that access in local mining villages and colliery rows can be tight. Our local crews know the area and our vans are far more mobile than skip lorries.
Q: Can I take my own fridge to the local tip?
A: You can try, but Wakefield Council requires tip permits for residents. By using our service as a skip hire alternative, you skip the queues, avoid the permit hassle and dodge the heavy lifting completely.
