Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
- No. Our 2-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, basements or apartments, handling all the heavy lifting safely while protecting your property.
Do you take large or awkward items like super king mattresses?
- Yes. We have the vehicles and equipment to handle large or bulky items. Our crews are experienced in planning stair and access routes in advance.
Is your disposal legal?
- Yes. We are an Upper Tier Waste Carrier (licence CBDU409710). We never fly-tip and always provide a Waste Transfer Note with every collection.
Does Salford City Council collect from inside my house?
- No. Salford Council operates a strict curbside-only service and may refuse items that become wet or unsuitable outside. This can be especially difficult in traditional terraced properties with limited outdoor space.
I live on a narrow street in Swinton, can you still help?
- Yes. We regularly work across Swinton, including busy A6 routes and tight, traffic-calmed estates around Walkden. Our mobile teams are fully equipped to park legally and load efficiently.
Can I take my own mattress to the local tip?
- You can. However, taking items to the Lumns Lane recycling centre can be time-consuming due to heavy traffic and congestion from commercial vehicles. Many customers prefer a hassle-free collection service instead.
