Why Choose Us for Sofa Removal in Stockport?
We Collect From Inside: Unlike Stockport Council curb side rules, our local crews come right into your living room, basement, or upstairs apartment. We are also happy and do the lifting.
Protection & Care: Moving bulky items through narrow terraced doors in Edgeley requires skill. We therefore plan stair access in advance, use protection to look after your flooring and walls, and ensure your home stays in perfect condition.
Speed: We offer a same day service, which is perfect for when your new sofa is arriving today. Pick an AM or PM slot, and our local crews will also give you a quick call 30 minutes before they arrive so you are never left waiting.
All Styles Taken: Whether it is a heavy recliner, a massive corner sectional, or a traditional Chesterfield suite, we additionally have the tools and manpower to handle it safely.

What We Take (Sofa Removal)
Sectional and corner sofas
Recliners and heavy electric chairs
Chesterfields and traditional suites
Sofa beds and heavy futons
Armchairs, footstools, and matching cushions
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Single Item: Prices start from £80+vat. Therefore deal for a standalone bulky item like a heavy three-seater sofa, sofa bed or electric recliner. This is also cheaper and faster than Stockport Council bulky collection.
Quarter Van Load: Roughly 2 to 3 cubic yards. Perfect for clearing out a matching sofa and armchair set.
Half Van Load: Roughly 6 cubic yards. Comparable capacity to a standard 6-yard skip, but with no permit fees or skip sitting on your Bramhall driveway. So ideal for a large lounge clear-out.
Full Van Load: 12 to 14 cubic yards. Equivalent to two standard 8-yard skips. Suitable for full house clearances with multiple living room suites.
So get a Firm Price by sending a photo of your furniture to 07802 860 731. Prices are also explained plainly with no hidden extras, and you only pay for the exact volume you use.
Typical Jobs in Stockport
High-End Furniture Removal in Bramhall: We cleared a large sectional sofa from a detached home via a wait and load service to maintain the property aesthetics and also to avoid a skip sitting on the driveway.
Living Room Clearance in Edgeley: We removed two heavy recliners from a dense terraced property. Our team expertly navigated the tight doors and avoided the need to block the narrow side streets with a skip.
Commercial Seating Disposal along the A6: We cleared old reception sofas from a local business. Because stopping a skip wagon on the main road is illegal, our vans therefore safely parked nearby and provided instant commercial waste disposal paperwork.
How It Works
1. Get a Quote: Give us a call on 0161 339 7938, fill in our contact form, or WhatsApp a photo of your furniture to 07802 860 731 for a fixed price.
2. We Arrive: Our 2-man uniformed team arrives in a specific time window. They will call ahead so you are ready when we get there.
3. We Remove: We carefully carry your old suite out of the property, taking care of doorways and looking after your walls. We sweep up the area once the space is clear.
4. Recycling: Every job comes with a digital Waste Transfer Note on the same day. We ensure most furniture is recycled or diverted from landfill.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor? A: No. Our 2-man team collects from upstairs, basements, or apartments, doing all the heavy lifting safely while protecting your property.
Q: Is your disposal legal? A: Yes. We are a fully licensed Upper Tier Waste Carrier (Licence CBDU409710). All waste is taken to an authorised treatment facility, and you receive proper Duty of Care documentation.
Q: Does Stockport Council collect from inside my house? A: No. Stockport Council is strict on curbside-only collection. This is physically difficult for residents, especially those living in the dense Victorian terraces of Edgeley.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Stockport, can you still help? A: Yes. We know that parking in the tight side streets off the A6 corridor can be tricky. Our vans are highly mobile and we offer a wait and load service that keeps the neighbourhood clear.
Q: Can I take my own sofa to Adswood Road tip? A: You can, but Adswood Road tip is notorious for weekend queues as the site is small relative to the growing population. Using our service saves you the hassle, the heavy lifting, and a wasted weekend.
