Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Single Item
Firstly, prices start from £80+VAT. So, this is ideal for a standalone heavy king-size mattress or a complete bed frame. It is also cheaper and faster than council collections.
Quarter Van Load
This is roughly 2–3 cubic yards and perfect for clearing out a box room. It suits a mattress, bed frame and a few bags of general household junk.
Half Van Load
This is around 6 cubic yards, comparable to a standard builders skip. It is ideal for a large master bedroom clear-out, including wardrobes, a heavy mattress and old carpets, with no permit fees or street disruption.
Full Van Load
This is 12–14 cubic yards and suitable for full house or probate clearances. It offers a reliable solution for large-scale removal jobs with maximum capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No. So, our professional two-man team collects your mattress directly from upstairs bedrooms, basements or apartments. We handle all the heavy lifting safely for you.
Do you take large or awkward items?
Yes. In addition, we have the right vehicles and trained crews to manage bulky super-king mattresses, heavy wooden frames and large wardrobes with ease.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We are a fully licensed waste carrier (CBDU409710) and provide a Waste Transfer Note with every job. We do not fly tip, ever.
Does St Helens Council collect from inside my house?
No. The council operates a strict kerbside-only policy. This can make removing heavy mattresses difficult, especially in traditional red-brick terraces.
I live on a narrow street in St Helens, can you still help?
Yes. So, we understand that high-density terraced parking can be challenging. Our compact vans are highly mobile, allowing us to load quickly and avoid blocked access issues.
Can I take my own mattress to the Ravenhead tip?
You can, but in addition, Ravenhead HWRC often has long queues and strict sorting rules. Borrowing a van may also come with permit restrictions and delays.
Save your back and your walls!
