Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the fridge to the ground floor?
A: No. Our two-man team will collect the item from wherever it is located, including upstairs kitchens or basement garages. We do all the heavy lifting so you do not have to.
Q: Do you take large American style fridges?
A: Yes. We have the specialist vehicles as well as tools to handle oversized American fridge-freezers. Our staff are also experts at maneuvering these large items through domestic properties safely.
Q: Is your disposal legal?
A: Absolutely. We are a fully Licensed Waste Carrier (CBDU409710). We provide a Waste Transfer Note with every job and 100% of fridges are de-gassed and processed at a licensed recycling centre.
Q: Does the council collect from inside my house?
A: No. Local councils generally provide a curbside-only service. This is often difficult for residents in South Ribble with terraced properties or those who cannot physically move heavy appliances to the pavement.
Q: I live on a narrow street, can you still help?
A: Yes. Our vans are much more mobile than skip lorries and can easily access tight residential roads. We know that parking in areas like central Leyland can be difficult, so we use a Wait & Load approach to avoid blocking the street.
Q: Can I take my own fridge to the local tip?
A: You can, but places like the Tom Benson Way or Buckingham Way sites often have long queues and strict rules. If you borrow a van to move it, you will likely be turned away without a pre-arranged van permit.
