Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to move it downstairs?
No. Our 2-man team collects from upstairs, basements and apartments, safely handling all the heavy lifting for you.
Do you take large or awkward items like American fridges and corner sofas?
Yes. We have the right vehicles and professional tools to manage extra-large and awkward items with ease.
Does West Lancashire Borough Council collect from inside my house?
No. The local council operates a strict curbside-only service. This can be inconvenient for residents in Skelmersdale’s New Town estates, particularly properties with communal access walkways.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We are a fully insured Upper Tier Waste Carrier (CBDU409710). You will receive a full Waste Transfer Note confirming your waste has been processed legally.
I live on an estate with communal parking in Skelmersdale, can you help?
Yes. We understand that U-shaped cul-de-sacs and communal parking areas can make skip hire difficult. Our man and van service loads items directly, avoiding permit issues entirely.
Can I take my own sofa or fridge to the Glenburn Road tip?
Yes, you can. However, the recycling centre is located in an industrial area with rough, dusty access roads. Using our team saves you effort, protects your vehicle and removes the physical strain completely.
Save your back and your walls!
