I found the Rubbish Removers efficient and pleasant and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Maureen F.20 February 2025 · Google review
Really quick and easy process as they collected a fridge from our basement which we'd 'inherited' from a house purchase. The two people who came to collect were great and were super careful navigating the fridge out of the house.

Why Choose Us for Mattress Removal in Sheffield?
Sheffield is famous for its seven hills, but those steep gradients make DIY mattress removal a physical challenge. Trying to navigate a heavy king-size mattress down a steep terraced street like Blake Street or through the tight corridors of high-rise flats is exhausting and risky. Our uniformed teams are experts at maneuvering bulky items through narrow doorways and down winding stairs without scratching your walls or flooring.
We provide a seamless Skip Hire Alternative that is perfect for urban Sheffield. Many areas in the city centre are restricted by tramlines, which prevent skip lorries from stopping or blocking the road for delivery. Because we arrive, load, and leave immediately, we don’t require expensive permits or driveway space. We even sweep up the area afterwards, leaving your bedroom or hallway spotlessly clean.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
We offer transparent Sheffield mattress removal pricing based on the volume and weight of the items we collect. You only pay for the space you fill in our vehicles, making us a cost-effective choice for both single items and full house clearances.
• SINGLE ITEM: Prices start from £80+vat. This is the ideal option for a standalone mattress and bed frame and is significantly faster than waiting for a council collection.
• QUARTER VAN LOAD: Roughly 2-3 cubic yards. This is perfect for a full bed set, including the mattress, frame, headboard and a few bags of old bedding.
• HALF VAN LOAD: Roughly 6 cubic yards. This is comparable to a standard builders’ skip and is suitable for clearing out a master bedroom or multiple beds during a renovation.
• FULL VAN LOAD: 12-14 cubic yards. This is a large-capacity option equivalent to two standard skips, used for full property clearances or large-scale furniture disposal.
Get a firm price today by sending a photo of your items to our team on 07802 860 731.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the mattress to the ground floor? A: No. Our 2-man team collects from any room, including upstairs bedrooms, basements or high-rise apartments. We do all the heavy lifting so you don’t have to risk your back or your walls.
Q: Do you take large/awkward items like American Fridges or Corner Sofas? A: Yes. We have the vehicles and tools to handle all types of bulky waste, including oversized furniture and heavy appliances that the council often refuses.
Q: Is your disposal legal? A: Yes. We are an Environment Agency Registered carrier (CBDU409710). With this in mind, We provide a digital Waste Transfer Note for every job, to ensure your rubbish is disposed of at a licensed facility.
Q: Does Sheffield City Council collect from inside my house? A: No. The council bulky waste service is strictly curbside only. This is often impossible for residents in Sheffield’s terraced properties or also high-rise flats where there is no external storage space.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Sheffield, can you still help? A: Yes. We know that parking on steep, narrow hills or near tramlines is difficult. Our vans are much more mobile than skip lorries and we use a “Wait & Load” method to avoid blocking the road.
Q: Can I take my own mattress to the local Recycling Centre (HWRC)? A: You can, but be aware that if you borrow or hire a van to do so, you will often need a specific permit. We offer a stress-free alternative that saves you the queue and the heavy lifting.
Save your back and your walls. Call 0114 438 7272 for instant removal.
