Why Choose Us for Mattress Removal in Sefton?
We Collect From Inside: Firstly, unlike the council’s kerbside-only rules, we come directly inside your property. We can collect from upstairs bedrooms, lofts or even basements.
Protection & Care: Next, we take extra care when moving bulky items through tight spaces. Our teams use protection where needed to safeguard your flooring, walls, doorways and also lifts.
Speed: Furthermore, we offer same-day options when you call early. It’s ideal if your new mattress is arriving and you need the old one removed quickly.
Bed Frame Removal Included: We can dismantle and remove bed frames, headboards and divan bases. This means everything is taken away in one simple, hassle-free service.

What We Take
- Memory foam mattresses
- King size as well as super king mattresses
- Bed frames and also heavy divan bases
- Headboards and bedside tables
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Firstly, prices start from £80 + VAT. This option is ideal for a standalone bulky item, such as a king-size memory foam mattress or a heavy wooden bed frame.
- Quarter Van Load: Next, this covers roughly 20–30 bin bags or 2–3 cubic yards. It’s perfect for clearing a small bedroom, including the mattress, frame and a chest of drawers.
- Half Van Load: This option offers around 6 cubic yards of space. It’s comparable to a standard builders’ skip and ideal for a large master bedroom clearance with multiple bulky items.
- Full Van Load: With a capacity of 12–14 cubic yards, this is best suited for multi-bedroom property clearances or large-scale hotel bed replacements.
– You only pay for the volume you use, making us a fantastic skip hire alternative.

Typical Jobs in Sefton
Hotel Clearances in Southport Centre:
– We removed dozens of old mattresses from a boutique hotel using our Wait & Load service. We avoided the strict conservation area rules on Lord Street that limit skip use.
Residential Removal in Formby:
– We collected a heavy super-king mattress and also the bed frame directly from a master bedroom. This prevented damage to the customer’s soft, sandy driveway where a skip could have sunk.
End-of-Tenancy in Bootle:
– We cleared abandoned mattresses and also some general rubbish from a terraced house near the docks. The property was left clean, tidy and ready for the market.
How It Works
1. Get A Quote
Firstly, give us a call on 0151 271 3348, fill in our contact form or WhatsApp a photo of the item to 07802 860 731. This way, we can provide a fast and accurate quote.
2. We Arrive
Next, our polite, uniformed two-man team arrives within a set morning or afternoon window. We’ll call ahead when we’re on the way so you’re not left waiting around.
3. We Remove
After that, we carefully carry the mattress and frame down your stairs. All shared areas, corridors and rooms are kept clean, safe and free from dust.
4. Recycling
Everything is taken to authorised facilities. We achieve a high landfill diversion rate by breaking down frames and recycling mattress materials responsibly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No, our two-man team collects from upstairs, basements or apartment blocks. We handle all the heavy lifting safely and respectfully for you.
Do you take large or awkward items like super king beds?
Yes, we are fully equipped to handle large, heavy items such as super-king mattresses and solid bed frames. We plan stair access in advance to minimise any risk of damage.
Is your disposal legal?
Absolutely. We are fully licensed with the Environment Agency (CBDU409710). You’ll receive a Waste Transfer Note every time, proving legal and responsible disposal.
Does Sefton Council collect from inside my house?
No, Sefton Council operates a strict kerbside-only policy. This can be challenging for properties with stairs or limited access.
I live on a coastal road with a sandy driveway, can you still help?
Yes, of course. Our vans are suitable for these conditions and our Wait & Load service avoids the risks associated with heavy skips on soft ground.
Can I take my own mattress to the local tip?
You can, but it’s often time-consuming. For example, tips can be busy and van permits may be required. We save you time, effort and fuel by handling everything for you.
Save your back and your walls!
