Why Choose Us for Fridge Removal in Rotherham?
Attempting to move a large fridge-freezer yourself can result in damage to your home and injury to your back. We take the stress out of the situation by handling the logistics for you.
We Collect From Inside
Unlike local council collections, which typically require you to drag heavy items to the curbside, our two-man teams enter your property to collect directly from the kitchen, cellar or garage. This is particularly important for residents in Rotherham’s brick terraces, where outdoor space is often limited.
Protection & Care
First and foremost, we treat your home with respect. Our crews are trained to manoeuvre heavy American-style fridges and chest freezers through tight hallways and doors without scratching walls or damaging flooring.
Same-Day Service Available
Furthermore, if your new appliance is arriving today and you need the old one gone immediately, we can often provide a same day collection. Effectively, we act as the “Emergency Service” for waste.
WEEE Recycling Experts
Refrigerators contain gases and components that must be treated carefully. We ensure 100% of fridges are degassed and recycled responsibly, diverting waste from landfill and protecting the environment.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
We operate a transparent pricing model based on the volume and type of waste removed. Unlike hiring a skip, you never pay for “fresh air”.
Single Item – To begin with, prices start from £80+VAT. This option is ideal for a standalone bulky item like a fridge, freezer or washing machine. In many cases, it is faster and more convenient than waiting for a council slot.
Quarter Van Load – Next, this option is perfect if you are clearing out a small utility room or have a few additional appliances to dispose of.
Half Van Load – Similarly, this is comparable to a builder’s skip and is ideal when your fridge removal is part of a larger kitchen rip-out.
Full Van Load – Finally, this option is equivalent to two standard skips, making it suitable for large commercial clearances or also full house clearances.
Get a Firm Price: Send a photo of your appliance to 07802 860 731 and we will give you an instant, free quote.
Typical Jobs in Rotherham
We work daily across the borough, helping residents and businesses with their heavy waste.
Fridge Removal in Parkgate
For example, we removed a large American-style fridge-freezer from a property near the retail park. In order to fit it through the narrow rear entrance of the terrace house, our team carefully removed the appliance doors.
Commercial Clearance near Magna
Similarly, a local business on an industrial estate required the removal of three defunct display chillers. We provided a Wait & Load service so that the loading bay remained clear and issued a Commercial Waste Transfer Note immediately.
Cellar Clearance in Wickersley
Finally, a resident needed an old chest freezer removed from a basement. So, our team handled the heavy lifting up a steep flight of stairs, ensuring the walls remained unmarked.
How It Works
1. Get a Quote: First, give us a call on 0114 438 7272 or you can also WhatsApp a photo of the item to 07802 860 731 so that we can provide a quick estimate.

4. Recycling: Finally, the unit is transported to a licensed transfer station where it is professionally de-gassed and also recycled responsibly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the fridge to the ground floor?
No. Our professional two-man teams provide all the labour. We can collect from upstairs apartments, basements or difficult-to-reach kitchens. This way, you don’t have to risk injury doing the heavy lifting yourself.
Do you take large/awkward items like American fridges?
Yes. We have the vehicles and equipment to handle large American-style fridge freezers. If necessary, we can remove the fridge doors so that it can be manoeuvred safely through tight doorways in older properties.
Is your disposal legal?
Absolutely. As an Upper Tier Waste Carrier licensed by the Environment Agency (CBDU409710), all refrigeration units are treated as hazardous waste due to the gases they contain. They are recycled at authorised facilities, and you will receive a Waste Transfer Note for your records.
Does Rotherham Council collect from inside my house?
Generally, no. Council collections are strictly “curbside only,” meaning you must move the item to the edge of your property yourself. This can be extremely difficult for residents in Rotherham’s terraced streets or for those with mobility issues. In contrast, we provide the internal collection service that the council does not.
I live on a narrow street in Rotherham, can you still help?
Yes. We understand that parking in high-density housing areas can be tight. Our vans, which are more mobile than large skip lorries, can navigate narrow residential streets or industrial estates with ease. We use a “Wait & Load” system so that we don’t block the road.
Save your back and your walls!
