We provide professional Rubbish Clearance in Rossendale, offering a fast and reliable Man and Van alternative to skip hire. Instead of dealing with permits and flat-ground requirements, our uniformed two-man teams handle all heavy lifting, clearing waste from terraced homes in Rawtenstall, steep hillsides in Haslingden and narrow lanes in Bacup.
Because skips often require costly council permits, our Wait & Load service works perfectly with the Valley’s challenging geography, allowing waste to be removed quickly and also safely. We clear household junk, garden waste and renovation debris efficiently, while ensuring most of it is recycled at authorised facilities. Fully licensed (CBDU409710) and Trading Standards approved, we guarantee a stress-free experience and once the van is loaded, we then sweep the area clean, leaving your property spotless. We had a house clearance today by The Rubbish removers. They arrived before time (for me that's an excellent start) and the 2 gentlemen introduced themselves firstly and then proceeded to survey the job. After a walk through of what needed doing they started straight away. The job seemed to be completed in no time. The 2 gentlemen, called Darren & Scott? (sorry if I've got the names wrong?) Were Fantastic. Polite, well organised and hard working. A credit to The Rubbish removers company. I would use the company again and would have the same workers if possible. Really impressed! Rubbish Clearance in Rossendale
No Skip Permit Needed!
Providing fast and reliable Rubbish Clearance in Rossendale is our core focus, because it offers a convenient way to clear unwanted waste without the stress of hiring a skip. We are The Rubbish Removers Ltd, a fully licensed and family-run business with over 25 years of experience serving the North West, so you can trust our service from start to finish.
Our uniformed teams handle everything from bulky furniture and garden waste to renovation debris, while ensuring your property is left spotless once the job is complete. Operating as an Environment Agency Registered carrier (licence CBDU409710), we guarantee that most of the collected waste is recycled, rather than sent to landfill, at authorised facilities.
You can reach our Head Office on 0161 339 7938, or alternatively send photos of your waste to 07802 860 731 for a fast and accurate quote. We are proud to be a Which? Trusted Trader and a member of the Trading Standards Buy With Confidence scheme, which means your waste is handled legally and also ethically.
Whether you are in Rawtenstall, Bacup or Haslingden, our mobile teams provide a seamless Man and Van clearance service, so all heavy lifting is taken care of for you. We work efficiently and professionally, ensuring your property is cleared quickly and left tidy once the job is complete.
Why Choose Us for Rubbish Clearance in Rossendale?
We Handle the Valley Logistics
Rossendale’s geography is beautiful but challenging for waste disposal, because steep valley sides and narrow streets in areas like Rawtenstall and Bacup often make skip hire impractical. Our nimble vans access tight lanes and gradients easily, providing a skip hire alternative designed specifically for the Rossendale Valley.
We Do the Hard Work & the Sweeping
Our service includes all labour, so you don’t need to move heavy items yourself. Instead, our two man teams collect waste from anywhere on your property and once the van is loaded, sweep the area, leaving your driveway or garden broom-clean.
Immediate Response
When waste needs removing quickly, which is often the case, we offer same-day or next-day clearance. Compared to council collections or skip hire delays, our service removes waste immediately without disruption.
Fully Compliant & Ethical
We take our Duty of Care seriously, because responsible disposal matters. Every job includes a Waste Transfer Note, confirming your waste is handled legally, ethically and also in line with environmental regulations.
The Rubbish Removers vs. Skip Hire in Rossendale

| Permits | No Permit Needed (Wait & Load) | £30-£50 Permit Fee (If on road) |

| Speed | Gone in 60 Mins | Stuck on drive for weeks |
| Access | Great for Steep/Narrow Streets | Difficult on Valley Hills |
What We Take
We handle a vast range of non-hazardous waste streams. If you have a mixed pile, we can sort it for you.
- General Household Waste: Black bags, cardboard, unwanted junk and also clutter.
- Garden Waste: Soil, turf, branches, old fencing as well as decking.
- Shed Removal: We dismantle and remove rotten sheds, including the felt and glass.
- Renovation Debris: Inert Waste such as rubble, bricks, tiles and also plasterboard.
- Fly-Tipping Clearance: Rapid removal of waste dumped on private land or access roads.
How It Works
We have designed our process to be as simple and transparent as possible.
1. Get a Quote
Call us on 0161 339 7938 or alternatively WhatsApp a photo of your rubbish to 07802 860 731, so that we can give you an estimated price based on the volume.
2. Clearance
Our uniformed team arrives within a dedicated two-hour window and we confirm the final price before we start. Then, we clear the lot efficiently using shovels, brooms and also muscle.
3. Sweep Up
Once the van is loaded, we then sweep the area clean, ensuring that no debris is left behind on your driveway or path.
4. Disposal
You receive a digital Waste Transfer Note instantly, while we transport the waste to a licensed transfer station, where most of it is recycled responsibly.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Our pricing is transparent and based on Volume (Cubic Yards) and Weight. You only pay for the space you fill, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air if you don’t fill it.
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+VAT, which makes it ideal for a standalone pile of bags or a dismantled bulky item. This is cheaper and faster than a Council bulky collection.
- Quarter Van Load: Holds roughly 20–30 bin bags or 2–3 cubic yards, which is equivalent to a dismantled 6×4 shed or also a small garden tidy-up.
- Half Van Load: Holds roughly 6 cubic yards (50–60 bin bags), so it matches the capacity of a standard 6-yard builders’ skip, without permit fees or risk of driveway damage.
- Full Van Load: Holds 12–14 cubic yards (100+ bin bags), which equals roughly 2 x 8-yard skips, making it perfect for full house clearances or large garden projects.
Get a Firm Price: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731 for an instant estimate.
Typical Jobs in Rossendale
We cover the entire borough and understand the specific local challenges.
Renovation Clearance in Rawtenstall
We cleared a large pile of plasterboard and rubble from a terraced property and because the street was too narrow for a skip wagon, our Wait & Load service allowed us to remove the debris without blocking the road or needing a permit.
Garden Waste in Haslingden
A customer on a steep hillside needed old decking and bagged soil removed but a skip could not be placed levelly due to the gradient. Instead, our team parked safely nearby and then carried the waste to the van, while also sweeping the patio clean afterwards.
Cellar Clearance in Bacup
We removed decades of accumulated junk from a stone cottage cellar, even though access was tight via a back alley. Despite this, our team managed the removal efficiently, recycling old wood and also metal items responsibly.
Areas We Cover in Rossendale
We provide our full range of services across the Rossendale Valley and also the surrounding areas, including:
- Rawtenstall
- Bacup

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take soil, rubble and also bricks?
Yes. We regularly collect heavy inert waste from DIY projects and because we charge by weight and volume, we are a perfect solution for terrace renovations where you cannot put a skip on the road.
Do you dismantle sheds or garden structures?
Yes. Our team comes equipped with tools to dismantle old sheds, greenhouses and also rotten fencing, while safely removing glass and felt. Once done, we then sweep the base clean, so that you can install your new shed immediately.
Will you clean up the mess afterwards?
Absolutely. One of our core promises is that “We Sweep Up”. We treat your home with respect, ensuring that your driveway, garden or alleyway is left tidy and also free of loose debris.
Do I need a skip permit for Rossendale?
Only if you hire a skip and place it on a public highway. Rossendale’s terraced streets often leave no off-road parking, which means permits are necessary for skips. Our Wait & Load service keeps the van off-site, which then removes the need for a permit.
Can you collect from properties with difficult access in Rossendale?
Yes. We know the area well, from the steep hills of Haslingden to the cobbled back streets of Bacup. Because our vehicles are more mobile than large skip lorries, our teams can carry waste efficiently from properties with restricted access.
