Why Choose Us for Sofa Removal in Ormskirk?
Don’t struggle with the narrow doors of your student accommodation or the stairs of your historic property. We collect from any room, meaning you never have to drag a heavy settee outside. Unlike the curbside-only rules of West Lancashire Borough Council, we come right into your lounge or bedroom to do the lifting.
- Protection & Care: We take great care when moving bulky items through tight hallways. Our teams use protective equipment where needed to protect your floors, walls and doorways throughout the removal process.
- Speed: We offer same-day service options along with AM or PM arrival slots and a quick call-ahead before we arrive. This is ideal when your new sofa is arriving today and you need the old one gone immediately.
- All Styles Taken: We clear all types of furniture, including heavy sectionals, bulky recliners, classic Chesterfield sofas and even matching bed frames, ensuring a complete and hassle-free service.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
We offer transparent pricing based on volume, so you only pay for the space your furniture fills. This is a brilliant skip hire alternative because you never pay for fresh air.
Single Item
To begin with, prices start from £80+ VAT. This option is ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a large three-seater sofa or a heavy recliner.
Quarter Van Load
This is perfect for a full three-piece suite or a corner sofa along with a few extra bags of household rubbish.
Half Van Load
This option is comparable in capacity to a standard 6-yard builders’ skip. It’s great for clearing out a lounge and dining room together in one go.
Full Van Load
This is our largest capacity, equivalent to roughly two standard skips. It is suitable for full house clearances or large student HMO turnarounds.

Typical Jobs in Ormskirk
Student HMO Clearance near Edge Hill:
We cleared three large, damaged sofas via a rapid wait-and-load service in Ormskirk. In doing so, we helped prevent the local “Summer Exodus” cuckoo tipping problem and ensured a quick, hassle-free turnaround for the property.
Sofa Disposal in the Town Centre:
We removed a heavy corner suite directly from a first-floor flat on a busy Thursday. We carefully navigated around market day traffic in Ormskirk, completing the job efficiently and safely.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
Absolutely not. Our professional two-man team collects from upstairs, basements or student apartments in Ormskirk, doing all the heavy lifting safely so you don’t have to lift a finger.
Do you take large or awkward items like corner sofas?
Yes, we do. We have the right vehicles and equipment to handle large items and we can also dismantle sectional sofas where needed to get them safely through tight doorways.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We are an Upper Tier Waste Carrier (licence CBDU409710) and take our Duty of Care seriously. We always provide a proper Waste Transfer Note for your records.
Does West Lancashire Borough Council collect from inside my house?
No. Their service is strictly kerbside only. This can be very difficult for residents in large Victorian properties or multi-storey student HMOs in Ormskirk.
I live on a narrow street near the town centre, can you still help?
Yes. We understand that navigating Ormskirk on Thursday or Saturday market days can be challenging. Our local drivers plan routes carefully and often use a wait-and-load approach to avoid disruption.
Can I take my own sofa to the Abbey Reed tip in Burscough?
You can, however it is quite a journey from central Ormskirk and requires a suitable vehicle. In addition, if you borrow a van, you may face strict permit rules, making our collection service a far easier option.
Save your back and your walls!
