Can't fault the service and professionalism of this company. I used them to remove a large fridge/freezer that was passed it's best. They arrived when they said they would, they were pleasant and friendly and very efficient! They took my payment by card and it was £40 cheaper than my local authority. I will definitely recommend to my friends, in fact one-off the neighbours has already asked me for their number!!

Why Choose Us for Fridge Removal in Oldham?
Moving a fridge is difficult at the best of times, but in Oldham, the local geography makes it even harder. From the steep terraced streets of the town centre to the narrow, winding lanes of Saddleworth, getting a heavy appliance to the kerb is often dangerous or physically impossible.
We Collect From Inside
Unlike the council’s collection service, which typically requires you to drag the item to the kerbside, our team enters your property to collect the item from the kitchen, cellar, or utility room.
Protection & Care
We know that manoeuvring a large fridge through the tight hallways of a Victorian terrace or a weaver’s cottage requires skill. We take care to protect your walls, doorframes and flooring during removal.
Speed
We offer a same day or next day service. For example, if your new fridge is being delivered tomorrow, we can ensure the old one is gone today.
All Styles Taken
Finally, we have the vehicles and manpower to handle everything from under-counter larder fridges to massive American-style units and commercial chillers!
The Rubbish Removers vs. Oldham Council Bulk Collection
Many residents consider the council service first, but for heavy white goods, it often lacks the flexibility you need.

We specialise in the removal of all refrigeration equipment, ensuring strictly compliant WEEE Recycling protocols are followed:
- American-style fridge freezers
- Standard tall fridge freezers
- Chest freezers (domestic & also commercial)
- Under-counter fridges as well as freezers

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Our pricing is transparent and based on the item or volume. You only pay for what we take away, making us a cost-effective skip hire alternative.
Single Item
Perfect for a standalone fridge, freezer or washing machine. Prices start from £80+VAT. In comparison, this is cheaper and faster than hiring a skip for a single item.
Quarter Van Load
Ideal if you are ripping out a full kitchen, including the fridge, old units and also tiles.
Half Van Load
Typically, this covers roughly 6 cubic yards. In comparison, it is comparable to a standard builder’s skip but importantly, without the permit fees or risk of driveway damage.
Full Van Load
Equivalent to 2x standard skips. Suitable for large house clearances or commercial strip-outs.

Typical Jobs in Oldham
We cover the entire borough, adapting our methods to the unique logistical challenges of the area:
– American Fridge in Saddleworth: We removed a heavy double-door fridge from a stone cottage in Uppermill. Because the narrow lane prevented skip access, our agile van parked legally for a quick “Wait & Load.”
– Cellar Freezer in Royton: A customer in a steep terraced property needed a rusted chest freezer removed from the cellar. Our team handled the difficult stairs safely, saving the owner from potential injury.
– Integrated Unit in Chadderton: We extracted and removed a built in fridge during a kitchen renovation. We took the old packaging and unit away immediately, allowing the fitters to continue working without delay.
How It Works
We make the process simple, safe and also clean.
1. Get a Quote: First, give us a call on 0161 339 7938 or WhatsApp a photo of the item to 07802 860 731.
2. We Arrive: Our uniformed two-man team arrives in a specific time slot. We give you a courtesy call 30 minutes before arrival.
3. We Remove: We carefully carry out the appliance from your kitchen or storage area and in doing so, navigate tight corners with care.
4. Recycling: The fridge is then transported to an authorised facility where it is degassed and 100% of the materials are recycled or recovered.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the fridge to the ground floor?
No. Our professional two-man teams are trained to carry heavy items from upstairs, basements or apartments. We do all the heavy lifting so you don’t have to risk your back or your walls.
Do you take large/awkward items like American-style fridges?
Yes. We have the vehicles and equipment to handle large American-style units. Please let us know when booking so we can ensure the correct team is assigned.
Is your disposal legal?
Absolutely. We are Environment Agency Registered (CBDU409710). Fridges are hazardous waste due to the gases they contain; we ensure they are treated at a licensed transfer station and we provide you with a Waste Transfer Note as proof.
Does Oldham Council collect from inside my house?
Generally, no. Oldham Council operates a strict curbside-only policy. We know this is incredibly difficult for residents living in steep terraced properties or mill conversions where getting a heavy appliance to the street is physically dangerous. So, we solve this by coming inside to collect.
I live on a narrow street in Saddleworth, can you still help?
Yes. We know that the narrow country lanes in Saddleworth and also the tight terraced grids in places like Waterhead can be inaccessible to large bin lorries or skip wagons. Our removal vans are smaller and more mobile, which means we can reach properties that others cannot.
Save your back and your walls!
