Typical Jobs in Morecambe
- Mattress removal in a Promenade Guesthouse: We cleared multiple old mattresses via our wait and load service to avoid strict seafront parking restrictions and skip permits.
- Bed frame disposal in inland 1930s semis: We removed a heavy wooden frame as well as memory foam mattress from an upstairs bedroom, navigating tight stairs safely.
- Bulky bedroom clearance near the Stone Jetty: We cleared out old beds and also furniture from a property converting back to a single residential house, saving the owner a long trip to the busy Salt Ayre tip.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+VAT. Therefore, this is ideal for a standalone heavy mattress or sofa. Cheaper and faster than council collections.
- Half Van Load: Roughly 6 cubic yards. This is great for a master bedroom overhaul or a small guesthouse clearance. No permit fees or skips blocking the road.
- Quarter Van Load: Roughly 2-3 cubic yards. Perfect for clearing out a guest bedroom, taking the mattress, frame and a chest of drawers.
- Full Van Load: 12-14 cubic yards. In other words, this option is suitable for full house or large guesthouse renovations near the Stone Jetty.
You only pay for the exact volume you fill, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air. Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731 to get a quote.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
A: No. Our professional 2-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, lofts or apartments. We do all the heavy lifting safely and carefully.
Q: Do you take large or awkward items like super king mattresses or heavy wooden frames?
A: Yes. We have the right tools and spacious vehicles to handle large items. Our crews are trained to manoeuvre awkward shapes through tight doorways.
Q: Is your disposal legal?
A: Yes. We are fully registered (CBDU409710). We provide a proper Waste Transfer Note and recycle ethically at licensed transfer stations.
Q: Does Lancaster City Council collect from inside my house?
A: No. Lancaster City Council is very strict on pavement only collections. This is especially difficult if you live in a multi-story Victorian property in Morecambe and cannot lift heavy items outside.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Morecambe, can you still help?
A: Yes. We know that parking near the Promenade and older terraced streets can be tight. Our vans are highly mobile and we load quickly, bypassing the need for skip permits entirely.
Q: Can I take my own mattress to Keer Bridge or Salt Ayre tip?
A: You can, but there is no major tip in Morecambe itself. Driving to Salt Ayre in Lancaster often means sitting in traffic, waiting in long queues and needing a strict permit if you try to borrow a van.
