Mattress Removal in Middleton
We Do The Heavy Lifting
When it comes to a professional mattress removal service in Middleton we do all the heavy lifting so you don’t have to struggle with awkward stairs or tight doorways. Whether you live in a modern semi-detached home in Alkrington or a Victorian terrace near the town centre, moving a heavy memory foam mattress is never easy. However, our professional two-man teams collect it straight from your bedroom, making the process simple and stress-free. As an Environment Agency Registered waste carrier (CBDU409710), we ensure your old bed is disposed of legally and responsibly, helping keep the local area clean and free from fly-tipping.
We are a Which? Trusted Trader and Trading Standards Approved “Buy With Confidence” member, offering a reliable alternative to standard council collections. Our local crews know Middleton well and can easily navigate the tight cul-de-sacs of the Langley estate to provide a fast, often same-day service. Finally, you receive an instant Waste Transfer Note and we recycle most of what we collect. So, you can save your back and protect your home by calling our North West head office today on 0161 339 7938.
Why Choose Us for Mattress Removal in Middleton?
We Collect From Inside
Do not struggle with the stairs, we collect from any room. Unlike Rochdale Council, which strictly requires curbside collection, our crews are happy to come inside your property and handle all the heavy lifting from your upstairs bedroom.
Protection & Care
We take great care when moving bulky items and use protection where needed to help safeguard your flooring, walls and doorways. Moving a heavy king-size mattress out of a narrow Middleton terrace is carried out safely with minimal risk of damage.
Speed
We offer emergency same-day options when you call early. This is ideal for situations where your new mattress is arriving today and you need the old one removed immediately.
All Styles Taken
We remove everything from dense memory foam to traditional sprung mattresses. Full bed frame removal is included if you need the entire setup cleared in one go.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Pricing Method: Transparent pricing based on volume and weight. Customers only pay for the space they fill, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air.
- SINGLE ITEM: Prices start from £80+VAT. This is ideal for a standalone bulky item like a heavy mattress or a bed frame. It is also typically cheaper and faster than waiting for a council collection.
- QUARTER VAN LOAD: This is roughly 20–30 bin bags. It’s perfect for clearing out a box room or removing a mattress along with items like a bedside table and old bedding.
- HALF VAN LOAD: Around 6 cubic yards, this is comparable to a standard 6-yard skip. It’s ideal for a large master bedroom clear-out without needing a road permit.
- FULL VAN LOAD: This covers 12–14 cubic yards. It is suitable for full house clearances or multi-bedroom rental property turnovers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the mattress to the ground floor?
No. Our 2-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, basements and apartments, handling all the lifting safely for you.
Do you take large or awkward items like super king memory foam mattresses?
Yes. We have the vehicles and trained staff to safely handle extremely heavy mattresses and large bed frames.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We are fully licensed (CBDU409710) and all items are taken to licensed transfer stations for fully compliant recycling, ensuring your Duty of Care is met.
Does Rochdale Council collect from inside my house?
No. Rochdale Council operates a strict curbside-only service. This can be difficult for residents in Middleton’s terraced homes and Langley estate properties with tight parking layouts.
I live on a narrow street in Middleton, can you still help?
Yes. We understand that parking in Victorian streets and Langley squares can be tight. Our vans provide a simple skip hire alternative by loading directly without blocking the road.
Can I take my own mattress to the Spring Vale tip?
Yes, you can. However, the route involves industrial access roads that can be uneven, and van use may require a permit. Our service saves you time, effort and logistical hassle.
