My friend and I had a very pleasant experience of the Rubbish Removers. We were well informed about the services they offer, and were grateful that they could take the defunct mobility scooter wholesale, without even the battery being removed. We also had to take them out of the way to collect the scooter, and they were polite and helpful at all times.

Excellent service from Rubbish Removals. Arrived on time and considering they had a fair length down a long path to reach their truck, they removed quite a lot of kitchen appliances and a piece of furniture in next to no time. Would definitely recommend. Good price too, cheaper than local Council.

Why Choose Us for Sofa Removal in Macclesfield?
– We Collect From Inside: Unlike the council bulky waste collection, which is strictly curbside only, we come right into your lounge, conservatory, or upstairs bedroom to retrieve your furniture. You do not need to struggle with moving heavy items yourself.
– Protection & Care: Macclesfield is famous for its narrow cobbled streets and tight cottage doorways, so our experienced crews use protective covers to keep walls, floors, and doors safe from scratches while moving heavy items.
– Speed: We offer same-day options and specific morning or afternoon arrival slots. This is ideal when your new suite is arriving today and you need the old one removed quickly.
– All Styles Taken: Whether it is a heavy corner sectional, a large recliner, or a bulky sofa bed, our teams will dismantle and load it safely. We have the experience and equipment to remove awkward and oversized furniture with ease.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Single Item:
Prices start from £80+vat, making this option ideal for a standalone bulky item like a two-seater sofa or a heavy recliner. It is often cheaper and faster than waiting weeks for a council collection.
Quarter Van Load:
Roughly 20 to 30 bin bags or 2 to 3 cubic yards. It is great for clearing out a full three-piece suite or a sofa alongside leftover living room junk.
Half Van Load:
Roughly 6 cubic yards, with a capacity comparable to a standard builders skip. However, there are no permit fees or blocked driveways, making it perfect for a large lounge clear-out.
Full Van Load:
Between 12 and 14 cubic yards, offering a massive capacity equivalent to two standard skips. This option is ideal for full house clearances alongside multiple large furniture pieces.
You only pay for the space you fill, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air. Get a firm price by sending a photo of your furniture to 07802 860 731.
Typical Jobs in Macclesfield
Sofa Removal in the Town Centre: We cleared a heavy sectional sofa from a historic silk cottage using our man and van clearance service. We avoided blocking the narrow cobbled streets during the collection.
Furniture Disposal in Weston: Our professional two-man team removed a large three-piece suite from a 1960s estate property. We took extra care to avoid damaging the newly painted hallway.
Estate Clearance on the Outskirts: We carried out a full lounge clearance for a rural property, easily navigating a tight gated driveway where a traditional skip wagon could not fit. The customer avoided the hassle of skip permits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor? A: Absolutely not. Our professional two-man team will collect your old sofa from any upstairs bedroom, basement, or apartment, doing all the heavy lifting safely.
Q: Do you take large or awkward items like corner sofas? A: Yes. We have the vehicles and tools to handle very large items, and we are happy to dismantle oversized furniture to safely remove it from your property.
Q: Is your disposal legal? A: Yes. We are fully insured, and as an Upper Tier Waste Carrier (CBDU409710), we guarantee 100% legal recycling at a licensed transfer station. We handle all your Duty of Care paperwork.
Q: Does Cheshire East Council collect from inside my house? A: No. Cheshire East Council is strict on curbside only collection. This is physically difficult for many residents in Macclesfield, especially if you live in a steep terraced property or a home with steps.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Macclesfield, can you still help? A: Yes. We know that parking on historic cobbled streets near the town centre can be extremely tight. Our vans are highly mobile, making us the perfect skip hire alternative for locations with poor access.
Q: Can I take my own sofa to Danes Moss tip? A: You can, but Danes Moss is a small site that struggles with volume and frequently has long queues. If you borrow a van to move the sofa yourself, you will also face strict trade waste checks. Our service saves you the hassle and the heavy lifting.
