I have had a couple of bookings with The Rubbish Removers in the past six months (once for a corner sofa and recently for a mattress) and they’ve been great! They were flexible on the dates, on time and professional. Would definitely recommend!

Why Choose Us for Mattress Removal in Macclesfield?
- We Collect From Inside: Unlike Cheshire East Council, which only offers curbside collection, we come inside your home. For example, we can collect items from bedrooms, lofts, or upstairs rooms. You do not need to carry heavy furniture outside yourself.
- Protection & Care: We take extra care when moving bulky items through narrow staircases and tight doorways in historic Silk cottages. Our team uses protection to help prevent marks and damage. Your floors, walls, and doorways stay protected during removal.
- Speed: Same-day collections are often available if you call early. You can get fast help when time matters most. For instance, if a new bed is arriving today, we can quickly remove the old one.
- Bed Frame Removal Included: We collect all types of mattresses. We can dismantle and remove bed frames, headboards, and heavy bedroom furniture. You get a full bedroom clearance in one visit.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
SINGLE ITEM:
Prices start from £80+vat. Ideal for a standalone bulky item like a king-size mattress or a heavy wooden wardrobe. This is a brilliant skip hire alternative that is far faster than a council bulky collection.
QUARTER VAN LOAD:
Roughly 20-30 bin bags or 2-3 cubic yards. Perfect for clearing out a box room, including a single mattress and old bedside tables.
HALF VAN LOAD:
Roughly 6 cubic yards or 50-60 bin bags. Comparable capacity to a standard 6-yard builder’s skip. Ideal for a large master bedroom overhaul. You pay no permit fees and have no skip sitting on your drive.
FULL VAN LOAD:
12-14 cubic yards with an 800kg payload. A large capacity equivalent to roughly two 8-yard skips. Suitable for full house clearances or large-scale bedroom refits.
Get a Firm Price: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731.
Typical Jobs in Macclesfield
Mattress Removal in the Town Centre: We removed a super-king mattress and a heavy wooden bed frame from a historic property. Because the cobbled streets were narrow, we used our agile wait and load service. There was no need to place a skip outside.
Estate Clearance on the Rural Outskirts: We completed a large furniture clearance at a rural property near the Peak District. We swept the property clean after removal. We achieved a high landfill diversion rate and left the space ready to use.
How It Works
- Get a Quote: Give us a call on 0161 339 7938, fill in our contact form, or WhatsApp a photo of the item to 07802 860 731.
- We Arrive: Our 2-man uniformed team arrives in a specific window, calling 30 minutes prior so you are fully prepared.
- We Remove: We carefully carry the mattress and bed frame downstairs, expertly navigating the tight corners of your property without causing any damage.
- Recycling: You receive a digital Waste Transfer Note immediately for your records. We then ensure most of your old furniture is recycled at licensed transfer stations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to move the mattress outside?
A: No. Instead, we collect directly from inside your property. You avoid carrying a heavy mattress through stairs or hallways.
Q: Can you offer same-day mattress removal?
A: Yes, same-day options are often available if you call early. You can clear space quickly when a new bed is arriving.
Q: Can you remove wet, damaged, or stained mattresses?
A: Yes. We collect old, damaged, and unwanted mattresses. However, letting us know the condition in advance helps us plan the job properly.
Q: Can you collect more than one mattress at a time?
A: Yes. We can remove single items or multiple mattresses in one visit. Larger clearances are quicker and more convenient.
Q: Can I take my own mattress to Danes Moss tip?
A: Yes, you can. However, Danes Moss can be busy and queues are common. Borrowing a van may lead to trade waste checks. We save you time, petrol, and heavy lifting.
Q: Does Cheshire East Council collect from inside my house?
A: No. Cheshire East Council only offers curbside collection and charges for the service. You must move the mattress outside yourself. However, this can be hard work, especially in traditional Silk cottages or homes on Macclesfield’s steep hills.
