Absolutely fantastic service. Great Communication throughout and they just got on with everything. Will definitely be using them again and can’t fault any of the service including the price. Thanks for the great service. I paid by card and I’ve got a full receipt and I know my items won’t end up being fly tipped somewhere and will be properly disposed of. Thank you! Sarah

Fridge Removal in Liverpool – We Do The Heavy Lifting
Fridge removal in Liverpool is often a logistical headache, especially when you are dealing with the narrow “entries” of Victorian terraces in Wavertree or the steep steps of Georgian townhouses in Canning. The Rubbish Removers Ltd provides a professional, fully insured service that takes the weight off your shoulders, meaning you don’t have to struggle with heavy white goods or risk damaging your back on the stairs. We are a fully licensed waste carrier (CBDU409710) and also a Which? Trusted Trader, dedicated to providing ethical, safe and legal disposal for homes and businesses across Merseyside.
Unlike council services that require you to drag heavy appliances to the curb, our uniformed two-man teams come inside your property to handle the lifting for you. We serve the entire region from our local base, available on 0151 271 3348 and we pride ourselves on a seamless experience where we disconnect, remove and then recycle your old fridge or freezer responsibly. As a Trading Standards Approved “Buy With Confidence” member, we ensure that every appliance we collect is degassed and then processed at an authorised WEEE recycling facility, giving you complete peace of mind.
Why Choose Us for Fridge Removal in Liverpool?
– We Collect From Inside
The Liverpool “Bulky Bob’s” service is well-known but it is strictly curbside collection. This means you have to wrestle a heavy fridge-freezer out to the pavement yourself, which is physically demanding and risky. We come into your kitchen, utility room or basement to collect the item right from where it stands. We do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to!
– Protection & Care
Moving large appliances through tight spaces requires skill. Whether we are navigating the narrow hallways of a terrace in Everton or the service lifts of a Baltic Triangle apartment, we take immense care. As well as this, we protect your floors, walls and doorframes during the removal process to ensure your property remains pristine.
– Speed & Reliability
We know that if your new fridge is arriving tomorrow, you need the old one gone today. We offer a same-day service where possible, acting as an emergency service for waste. We provide a specific arrival window and give you a courtesy call 30 minutes before we arrive.
– All Models Handled
From colossal American-style fridge freezers to commercial display units and also heavy chest freezers, we have the manpower and vehicles to handle it. We can even remove integrated units once they have been uninstalled.

What We Take
We handle all types of refrigeration units and also white goods, ensuring compliance with WEEE recycling regulations:
- American-Style Fridge Freezers: Large, heavy double-door units.
- Standard Upright Fridges: Tall larder fridges as well as combined units.
- Chest Freezers: Heavy units often found in garages or outbuildings.
- Under-Counter Units: Small fridges, freezers and also wine coolers.
- Commercial Refrigeration: Display fridges & stainless steel catering units.
- Integrated Appliances: Built-in units (must be disconnected prior to arrival).
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Our pricing is transparent and also based on the space your items fill in our van. You only pay for what we take, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air.
- Single Item Load: Prices start from £80+VAT. Ideal for a standalone bulky item like a fridge, tall freezer or washing machine. Cheaper and faster than hiring a skip or arranging a private van.
- Quarter Van Load: Roughly 2-3 cubic yards. Perfect if you are clearing a fridge along with a small pile of kitchen rip-out waste or old cabinets.
- Half Van Load: Roughly 6 cubic yards. Comparable capacity to a standard builders’ skip. Great for a full kitchen strip-out including all white goods and also units.
- Full Van Load: 12-14 cubic yards. Equivalent to roughly 2 x standard 8-yard skips. Suitable for commercial clearances or restaurant refits involving multiple appliances.

Typical Jobs in Liverpool
- American Fridge Removal in Wavertree: A student landlord needed a large American fridge removed from a property on Smithdown Road. We used a “Wait & Load” service to avoid blocking the busy main road and then navigated the narrow hallway without scratching the paintwork.
- Basement Freezer Clearance in Canning: We collected a rusted chest freezer from the basement of a Georgian townhouse. Our team handled the steep, narrow steps safely, removing the item without the owner needing to lift a finger.
- Apartment Collection in The Baltic Triangle: A resident needed an old fridge removed from a third-floor apartment with no external storage. We co-ordinated with the building concierge to use the service lift and also removed the item within 24 hours of the enquiry.
- Commercial Fridge Disposal in Liverpool City Centre: We cleared two large display fridges from a cafe refurbishment near Ropewalks. As skips are not permitted in the area without expensive permits, our van-based removal was the perfect solution!

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
A: No. Our two-man teams are trained to collect heavy items from anywhere in your property, including upstairs flats, basements or even lofts. We do all the lifting and manoeuvring so you don’t have to risk injury.
Q: Do you take large/awkward items like American Fridges?
A: Yes. We have large Luton vans and the necessary equipment to handle bulky American-style fridge freezers. Please let us know when booking if the doors need to be removed to fit through your property’s doorways.
Q: Is your disposal legal?
A: Absolutely. We are an Upper Tier Waste Carrier (License CBDU409710) and an Environment Agency Registered business. We provide a digital Waste Transfer Note for every job, proving that your fridge has been disposed of legally and ethically.
Q: Does Liverpool City Council collect from inside my house?
A: No. The council’s “Bulky Bob’s” service is strictly curbside collection. This is a major issue for residents in Liverpool’s terraced properties or apartments where leaving a fridge on the street can attract scavengers or block the pavement. We collect directly from inside your home!
Q: Can I take my own fridge to Old Swan or Otterspool Tip?
A: You can but be aware that Liverpool’s HWRCs (Household Waste Recycling Centres) like Old Swan and Otterspool have strict rules. If you are using a van or a pickup, you must apply for a permit in advance. Height barriers often prevent rented vans from entering and site operators may turn them away if they suspect trade waste. We save you the hassle and the queue.
