Fantastic! The team took our large sofa away no fuss. We live on a narrow street and have an awkward shaped house to get things in and out of but it was no trouble for them. They were extremely polite and did a fantastic job. Highly recommended!

- All Styles Taken: Finally, we remove heavy memory foam, king-size sprung mattresses, bulky bed frames and large headboards without any fuss.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Single Item
Prices start from £80 + VAT. For example, this is ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a king-size mattress or a heavy solid wood bed frame. It is often cheaper and significantly faster than relying on a council collection.
Quarter Van Load
Holds roughly 20–30 bin bags or 2–3 cubic yards. This option is perfect for clearing out a box room or removing a mattress alongside dismantled bedroom furniture.
Half Van Load
Offers around 6 cubic yards of capacity. In comparison, this is similar to a standard builders’ skip and is ideal for a large master bedroom clear-out. You get the space without needing an expensive skip permit.
Full Van Load
Provides 12–14 cubic yards of space. So, this option is best suited for full house clearances or multi-bedroom rental property turnovers.

Typical Jobs in Lancashire
Student Landlord Clearance in Preston: Recently, we cleared multiple mattresses and broken bed frames directly from upstairs bedrooms near UCLan. Our Wait & Load service avoided the need for parking bay suspensions.
Heavy Furniture Removal in Darwen: We removed a water-logged memory foam mattress and also the solid wood frame from a steep Victorian terrace. This meant, the resident avoided struggling on dangerous gradients.
Rental Clearance in Burnley: We carried out a full bedroom clearance, carefully navigating narrow cobbled back streets where modern skip wagons cannot fit.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
A: No. Our professional two-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, lofts and third-floor apartments. You do not need to risk injury or damage moving items yourself.
- Do you take large or awkward items like heavy memory foam mattresses?
Yes. We have the right vehicles and specialist equipment to handle large and awkward items safely. We plan stair and access routes in advance to ensure smooth removal.
- Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We are fully insured and our Licence CBDU409710 confirms we operate legally. All waste is taken to authorised recycling centres and a Waste Transfer Note is issued every time.
- Does the local council collect from inside my house?
No. Instead, council bulky waste collections are strictly kerbside only. Residents in Lancashire’s steep stone terraces and dense housing often find this highly impractical.
- I live on a narrow street in Lancashire, can you still help?
Yes. Because we regularly work in historic mill towns and cobbled back streets, we understand tight parking conditions. Our vans are positioned carefully to minimise disruption to neighbours and traffic.
- Can I take my own mattress to the local tip?
You can. However, recycling centres such as Tom Benson Way in Preston and George Street West in Blackburn often have strict booking systems and ID checks. Many borrowed vans are turned away, making our service a quicker and easier alternative.
Let us take care of that old, unwanted mattress!
