Why Choose Us for Furniture Disposal in High Peak?
- We Collect From Inside: Unlike High Peak Borough Council’s pavement only rules, we come directly into your lounge, kitchen or upstairs bedroom to do the lifting.
- Protection & Care: We navigate the tight corners as well as steep staircases common in High Peak stone properties, using proper protection to ensure your floors, walls and doorways are completely looked after.
- Speed: Same-day service is also available, which is perfect when your new sofa or bed is arriving today and you need the old items gone fast.
- All Styles Taken: We remove and also dispose of everything, including large corner sectionals, heavy recliner chairs, solid oak wardrobes and we even include bed frame dismantling.
What We Take
- Sofas & Seating: Corner sectionals, recliners, Chesterfield suites as well as large, heavy sofa beds.
- Beds & Mattresses: Memory foam mattresses, king-size beds, bulky headboards and also wooden bed frames.
- Dining Room Furniture: Heavy dining tables, wooden chairs and also solid sideboards.
- Storage Furniture: Large oak wardrobes, chest of drawers, tall bookcases as well as display cabinets.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+VAT. This is ideal for a standalone bulky item like a heavy three-seater sofa or a large wardrobe. Cheaper and faster than Council bulky collection.
- Quarter Van Load: Roughly 20 to 30 bin bags or 2 to 3 cubic yards. This is great for clearing out a box room or removing a bed and a mattress together.
- Half Van Load: Roughly 6 cubic yards. Comparable capacity to a standard builders skip. No permit fees and no skip blocking your pavement. Ideal for a large master bedroom clear-out.
- Full Van Load: 12 to 14 cubic yards or an 800kg payload. In short, this is a large capacity equivalent to roughly two standard 8-yard skips, perfect for full house clearances.
You only pay for the space you fill, unlike skips where you pay for fresh air. Get a Price by sending a photo of your furniture to 07802 860 731.
Typical Jobs in High Peak
B&B Clearance in Buxton: We removed heavy antique furniture and old beds from a Georgian crescent property via a rapid Wait & Load service, avoiding the need for a skip on the busy, hilly tourist streets.
Terrace Sofa Removal in Glossop: We cleared a large corner sofa directly from the lounge of a traditional stone terrace. Because the front door opened straight onto the pavement, our quick loading process avoided any pedestrian disruption.
Farmhouse Wardrobe Disposal near Snake Pass: We safely navigated steep rural access roads to collect a solid oak wardrobe from an upstairs bedroom, providing the customer with a full Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
A: No. Our professional two-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, basements or apartments, doing all the heavy lifting safely so you do not have to risk injury.
Q: Do you take large or awkward items like heavy corner sofas?
A: Yes. We have the vehicles, tools, and experience to handle large, awkward items. We easily dismantle them if necessary to get them safely out of your property.
Q: Is your disposal legal?
A: Yes. We are an Environment Agency Registered waste carrier (Licence CBDU409710) and provide a digital Waste Transfer Note for your records the very same day.
Q: Does High Peak Borough Council collect from inside my house?
A: No. High Peak Borough Council is strict on curbside-only collections. This is incredibly difficult for residents in traditional stone cottages or on the steep, hilly streets of Buxton where dragging furniture outside is unsafe.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Glossop, can you still help?
A: Yes. We know that many terraced streets in Glossop open right onto the pavement with zero room for a skip. Our vans are highly mobile, providing an easy Skip Hire Alternative without the need for expensive council permits.
Q: Can I take my own sofa to Waterswallows tip?
A: You can, but the Waterswallows site in Buxton is heavily exposed to harsh weather and frequently closes in snow or high winds. Rather than risking damage to your own car or hiring a van, let our local crews handle the job for you.
