Excellent service from Rubbish Removals. Arrived on time and considering they had a fair length down a long path to reach their truck, they removed quite a lot of kitchen appliances and a piece of furniture in next to no time. Would definitely recommend. Good price too, cheaper than local Council.

Appliance Removal in High Peak: We Do The Heavy Lifting
Our trusted appliance removal service in High Peak ensures you never have to drag a heavy washing machine or fridge up and down the steep hills of Buxton or out of narrow Glossop terraces. To begin with, moving bulky appliances in these stone cottages and farmhouses is especially difficult, particularly where doorways open directly onto pavements with little or no space to manoeuvre. There is no need to struggle with stairs, as we collect from any room, including basement utility areas or third-floor flats.
We are a fully insured, Environment Agency Registered waste carrier (license CBDU409710), meaning your bulky waste is handled legally, safely and efficiently at every stage. You can rely on a fully compliant and professional service.
As a Which? Trusted Trader and Trading Standards Approved “Buy With Confidence” member, we provide complete peace of mind alongside fast, same-day service options. You don’t need to depend on council kerbside collections or make trips to the Waterswallows recycling centre, which can be inconvenient and weather-dependent.
We arrive within a scheduled time window, handle all lifting, protect your floors and issue a full Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note before we leave. So, call 0161 339 7938 or WhatsApp 07802 860 731 today to clear your unwanted appliances quickly and easily.
Why Choose Us for Appliance Removal in High Peak?
- We Collect From Inside: To begin with, unlike the local council which insists on kerbside-only collection, we come directly into your kitchen, cellar or utility room to carry out all the work for you.
- Protection & Care: In addition, navigating the tight doorways of a Glossop terrace or the winding stairs of Buxton’s Georgian properties requires real care and experience. We use protective equipment to safeguard your flooring, walls and doorways while safely moving heavy items.
- Speed: We offer a same-day service option for urgent removals. This is ideal when your new kitchen appliances are arriving today and you need the old ones cleared immediately.
- All Styles Taken: We remove all types of white goods, including heavy American fridges, chest freezers and bulky range cookers, ensuring full WEEE-compliant recycling for every item.

Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
– Transparent Pricing: You only pay for the volume your appliances take up in our van, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air.
Single Item
To begin with, prices start from £80+ VAT. This option is perfect for a standalone bulky item such as a broken washing machine or a heavy American fridge. It is often cheaper and faster than a council bulky collection.
Quarter Van Load
This covers roughly 2–3 cubic yards. It is ideal if you are replacing multiple appliances at once during a minor kitchen upgrade.
Half Van Load
In the same way, this option provides around 6 cubic yards of capacity. It is perfect for a full kitchen strip-out, allowing you to dispose of ovens, fridges and old cabinets all in one go.
Full Van Load
This is our largest option at 12–14 cubic yards with an 800kg payload. It is suitable for full property clearances or commercial B&B clear-outs in the High Peak area.

Typical Jobs in High Peak
Appliance clearance in Glossop: We cleared an old American fridge freezer from a terraced cottage in Glossop via our wait-and-load service. In doing so, we helped avoid blocking the narrow street where skips are often impossible to place.
Commercial appliance clearance in Buxton: We removed a heavy washing machine and dryer from a commercial unit in Buxton that were no longer needed. We handled all the heavy lifting safely and efficiently, providing a smooth and hassle-free clearance service for the customer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No. Our professional 2-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, basements or upper-floor flats in High Peak. We handle all the heavy lifting safely so you don’t have to lift a finger.
Do you take large or awkward items like American Fridges?
Yes. We have the vehicles and specialist equipment to safely handle exceptionally large and heavy appliances without damaging your property.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We are a fully licensed waste carrier (Licence CBDU409710) and ensure 100% legal WEEE recycling at authorised transfer stations.
Does High Peak Borough Council collect from inside my house?
No. In contrast, the council operates a strict kerbside-only service. This can be particularly difficult for residents in Glossop’s terraced streets that open directly onto pavements, as well as homes in Buxton with steep access routes.
I live on a narrow street in High Peak, can you still help?
Yes. We understand that rural lanes and Glossop terrace rows can be tight. Our highly mobile vans load items quickly and efficiently, helping to minimise any disruption or road obstruction.
Can I take my own fridge to Waterswallows recycling centre?
You can, however the Waterswallows site is exposed to harsh weather and may close during snow or severe conditions. You will need to manually lift heavy appliances yourself. Our service saves you both time and physical strain.
