Why Choose Us for Man and van junk collection in Formby?
We Collect From Inside: Unlike the council curbside service, our polite and respectful crews are happy to come inside and do the heavy lifting. You do not need to move anything outside beforehand.
Protection & Care: We navigate tight doors and staircases smoothly, taking care to protect your floors, walls and doorways while removing awkward, bulky junk.
Speed: In addition, same-day options are available if you call early. We also offer clear AM or PM time slots, with a quick call ahead so you are never left waiting around.
Skip Hire Alternative: Many Formby homes have soft sandy driveways where skips can sink and cause damage. So, our wait and load service avoids this, keeping your property safe.

What We Take
– Household Junk: Heavy sofas, sectionals, recliners as well as any bulky dining sets.
– Bedroom Items: Mattresses, heavy wooden bed frames and wardrobes.
– White Goods: American fridge freezers, washing machines and also cookers.
– Garden Furniture: Rattan sets and outdoor bulky junk common in Formby’s large detached gardens.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
SINGLE ITEM –
Prices start from £80 + VAT, equivalent to 10 to 15 bags. Ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a fridge, sofa or wardrobe. It is often cheaper and faster than Sefton Council bulky waste collection.
QUARTER VAN LOAD –
Roughly 20–30 bin bags or 2–3 cubic yards. This option is perfect for clearing out a box room or under-stairs cupboard.
HALF VAN LOAD –
Roughly 6 cubic yards or 50–60 bin bags, comparable to a standard builders skip. There are no permit fees and no risk of a skip sinking into your driveway.
FULL VAN LOAD –
12–14 cubic yards, 100+ bin bags, or an 800kg payload, equivalent to roughly two standard skips. For example, this option is ideal for a full house clearance or large garden junk removal.
Get a Free Quote: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731.
– Remember, you only pay for the volume you use, rather than paying for fresh air in a skip.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No, you do not. Our professional two-man team collects from upstairs, basements or apartments, doing all the heavy lifting safely so you do not have to strain your back.
- Do you take large or awkward items like American fridges and corner sofas?
Yes, we do. We have the right vehicles, tools and training to handle large items safely and efficiently.
- Is your disposal legal?
Yes, absolutely. We are an Upper Tier Waste Carrier (Licence CBDU409710) and provide a Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note with every job. We ensure 100% legal recycling at a licensed transfer station.
- Does Sefton Council collect from inside my house?
No. Sefton Council only offers kerbside collections. This can be inconvenient for Formby residents who would rather avoid dragging heavy items outside and exposing them to coastal weather.
- My Formby property has a soft sandy driveway, can you still help?
Yes. Traditional skips can sink into Formby’s sandy driveways and cause damage. For this reason, our man and van wait and load service is the ideal skip hire alternative.
- Can I take my own junk to the Southport or Bootle tip?
You can, but the Southport tip is often busy and Sefton tips have strict access rules for certain vehicles. You can save time and effort by letting our team handle the heavy lifting and queueing for you.
Save your back and your walls!
