If you fail to take reasonable measures to ensure your waste is handled by an authorised waste carrier  the authorities can prove that the fly tipped waste originated from you.

How To Stop Your Waste Being Fly Tipped

Firstly ask the waste remover for their waste carrier’s licence at first contact. Check that the licence is in date. The licence will show their number, address, and telephone number. Ultimately the Environment Agency licenses all legitimate waste carriers every three years. Therefore after the job, make sure you get a waste transfer note or invoice. Make sure the licence number and address match those on the carrier’s licence.
