The 2 guys were brilliant. They had my very large corner sofa taken apart and removed in less than 30 mins. They couldnt get the corner piece out so they cut it up and fixed the problem. Worked like trojans in 80 degree heat. Cant thank them enough 🙂🙂

Why can't other companies be more like this? Our 3 piece suite was collected today, efficiently, courteously and in the timeslot provided. Would recommend this company to anyone looking for efficient rubbish removal - an excellent service.

I) Extremely efficient booking appointment (within 7 working days)..2) Thorough and pleasant...53 years worth of house furniture, junk & packed garage done within 6 hours..3) Pleasant lads ...and 4) they quoted and even though an extra half load, absolutely no hissing through teeth and trying to 'add extras' on the day....Highly recommended.

Why Choose Us for Sofa Removal in Fleetwood?
We Collect From Inside
Unlike council collections, which are strictly kerbside only, we come directly into your lounge, kitchen or bedroom. That means you never have to drag a heavy settee out into the coastal wind and rain.
Protection & Care
We take great care when moving bulky items through your property. Our teams plan lift and stair access in advance, using heavy-duty protection where needed to protect your flooring, walls and doorways.
Speed
If you need a fast turnaround, we can often offer same-day options when you call early. You can choose an AM or PM slot, and our crew will call ahead so you’re never left waiting around.
All Styles Taken
Whether it’s heavy sectionals, modern recliners, traditional Chesterfields or awkward sofa beds, we remove all types of seating without fuss.
The Rubbish Removers vs. Local Council Bulk Collection
| Feature | The Rubbish Removers | Fleetwood Local Council |
|---|---|---|
| Collection Point | Any Room / Upstairs | Kerbside Only (You drag it out) |
| Speed | Same Day / 24 Hours | Subject to Availability |
| Heavy Lifting | 2-Man Team Included | Zero Assistance |
| Item Limits | We take Multiple Items | Strict Item Limits |
What We Take
- Heavy sectional and also modular corner sofas.
- Electric and manual recliners.
- Traditional Chesterfields as well as any large armchairs.
- Heavy sofa beds and matching footstools.
- Office reception sofas and seating
- Outdoor garden furniture sets and patio seating (including rattan and metal sofas)
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
– Single Item: Prices start from £80 + VAT. Ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a two-seater sofa or a large armchair. This is also much faster than waiting for a council collection.
– Quarter Van Load: Roughly 20 to 30 bin bags or 2 to 3 cubic yards. For example, it’s perfect for clearing a three-piece suite along with a few additional household items.
– Half Van Load: Around 6 cubic yards, providing a capacity comparable to a standard builder’s skip. It’s ideal for a larger master bedroom clear-out alongside sofa removal.
– Full Van Load: 12 to 14 cubic yards with an 800kg payload. This makes it suitable for full house clearances or stripping out larger seaside properties.
You only pay for the volume you use, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air. Get a free quote today by sending a photo of your sofa to 07802 860 731.
Typical Jobs in Fleetwood
Terrace Clearance near the Docks:
– We cleared a heavy corner sofa from a narrow terraced property using our Wait & Load service. We avoided blocking the tight street and minimised disruption to neighbours.
Sofa Removal near the Promenade:
– We removed three heavy sofa beds from a coastal B&B. We safely navigated steep stairs while protecting freshly painted walls throughout the job.
How It Works
1. Get a Quote
Give us a call, fill in our contact form, or WhatsApp a photo of the item to 07802 860 731. In most cases, we can provide free quotes from photos or a short visit.
2. We Arrive
Next, our uniformed team arrives within your chosen time window. We also assess tight corners in advance to ensure your sofa is moved safely and efficiently.
3. We Remove
After that, we carefully carry the furniture out of your property. We then sweep through the lounge and leave shared areas clean, tidy and safe.
4. Recycling
Every job includes a digital Waste Transfer Note on the same day. Most of what we collect is diverted from landfill or donated to local groups where suitable.
Areas We Cover in Fleetwood
We provide fast and reliable collections across Fleetwood and also the immediate surrounding districts.
- This includes Rossall, Broadwater, Cleveleys, Thornton and all local coastal areas.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No, you do not. Instead, our professional two-man team collects from upstairs, basements or apartments, handling all the heavy lifting safely so you can simply point us to the item.
Do you take large and awkward items like corner sofas?
Yes, we do. We have the right vehicles and tools to handle large, heavy items and we can even dismantle oversized sofas to get them safely through narrow doors.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes, it is fully legal and compliant with your Duty of Care. As licensed waste carriers (CBDU409710), we provide a Waste Transfer Note every single time.
Does the local council collect from inside my house?
No. Instead, council services are strictly kerbside only, which can be inconvenient for Fleetwood terraces where items may be left outside in coastal weather.
I live on a narrow street in Fleetwood, can you still help?
Yes, absolutely. Because parking is often tight in terraced streets, our modern vans use legal loading bays or agreed parking to load efficiently and leave quickly.
Can I take my own sofa to the local tip?
You can, however, local tips are often strict on van permits and monitored closely. Our fully insured collection service is usually the easier and safer option.
Save your back and your walls!
