North West team came as booked to remove a double greenhouse in our new home, which was run down & full of waste. Lads did an excellent job, very efficient and tidy very pleased. Would definitely recommend

Brilliant service. Phone call to say they were on their way and they arrived on time. Took our reclining sofa apart and removed it from the room so we didn’t have to do that or get it outside. We had another sofa which was going to charity but they had booked for the wrong day, so we asked if The Rubbish Removers would take that too - no problem, just extra cost obviously. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend. Reasonable cost, comparable with other businesses.

Why Choose Us for Sofa Removal in Congleton?
We Collect From Inside
To begin with, unlike Cheshire East Council which offers a strict curbside-only service, our teams come directly into your lounge, kitchen or bedroom. You never need to drag heavy furniture out onto the pavement yourself.
Protection & Care
We take great care when moving bulky items and use protective measures where needed to safeguard flooring, walls and doorways. Our local crews are experienced in manoeuvring awkward sofas through Congleton’s tight, historic doorways without leaving a mark.
Speed
Same-day service is available, making it ideal for when your new sofa is arriving and you need the old one removed quickly.
All Styles Taken
We clear everything from large sectionals and heavy recliners to standard two-seaters. Bed frame removal is also included, allowing you to clear multiple rooms in one visit.
The Rubbish Removers vs. Cheshire East Council Bulk Collection

|---|---|---|
| Collection Point | Any Room / Upstairs | Curbside Only (You drag it out) |

| Item Limits | We take Multiple Items | Strict Item Limits |
What We Take
- Sectionals and large corner sofas
- Heavy manual and also electric recliners
- Classic Chesterfield sofas as well as standard living room suites
- Sofa beds, futons and also matching armchairs
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: To begin with, prices start from £80+VAT. This is ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a large three-seater sofa or an old heavy armchair. It is often cheaper and significantly faster than a council bulky collection.
- Quarter Van Load: Moreover, this covers roughly 20 to 30 bin bags or 2 to 3 cubic yards. This is perfect for removing an entire three-piece suite from your living room.
- Half Van Load: In addition, this is around 6 cubic yards and comparable to a standard builders skip. It gives you plenty of capacity for a full lounge clear-out without the hassle of arranging skip permits.
- Full Van Load: This offers a massive 12 to 14 cubic yards capacity with an 800kg payload. It is ideal for full house clearances where multiple sofas, beds and bulky items need removing quickly.
You only pay for the volume you use, unlike skip hire where you pay for fresh air.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
Absolutely not. Our two-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, basements and apartments, handling all the heavy lifting safely so you do not need to lift a finger.
Do you take large or awkward items like corner sofas?
Yes, we certainly do. We have the right vehicles and professional experience to handle large, heavy and awkward furniture safely.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We are an Environment Agency Registered waste carrier (licence CBDU409710) and provide a digital Waste Transfer Note with every job. All waste is taken to authorised recycling facilities.
I live on a narrow street in Congleton, can you still help?
Yes. For example, we regularly work in the historic town centre where parking is tight and skip wagons often struggle. Our highly mobile vans are planned carefully to access narrow streets with ease.
Can you take old or damaged sofas?
Absolutely. We collect all types of sofas, including worn, damaged, stained or broken items, regardless of condition.
