I have had a couple of bookings with The Rubbish Removers in the past six months (once for a corner sofa and recently for a mattress) and they’ve been great! They were flexible on the dates, on time and professional. Would definitely recommend!

Mattress Removal in Cleveleys
We Do The Heavy Lifting
When it comes to an efficient mattress removal service in Cleveleys, we do the heavy lifting so you do not have to struggle with awkward stairs or tight coastal doorways. At The Rubbish Removers Ltd, we are a local, family-run bulky waste collection service, offering both same-day and scheduled collections to keep your home or guest house clear and clutter-free.
We are a fully licensed Environment Agency Registered waste carrier (CBDU409710), ensuring 100% legal disposal with zero risk of fly-tipping. As a Which? Trusted Trader and Trading Standards Approved Buy With Confidence member, you can book with complete peace of mind. Simply call our friendly team on 0161 339 7938 or WhatsApp 07802 860 731 for an instant quote and let our uniformed two-man team handle all the heavy lifting directly from your property.
Why Choose Us for Mattress Removal in Cleveleys?
We Collect From Inside: Unlike council services that insist on kerbside collection only, we come directly into your upstairs bedroom. This means we handle all the awkward lifting so you do not have to drag heavy items outside.
Protection & Care: Meanwhile, we carefully navigate tight staircases, narrow hallways and guest house corridors. Our teams also use protective measures where needed to help safeguard your flooring, walls and doorways.
Speed: If required, we offer a same-day service when you call early, making it ideal for situations where your new mattress is arriving and the old one needs removing immediately.
All Styles Taken: We handle all types of beds, including heavy memory foam mattresses, super king sizes as well as the full bed frame dismantling.

What We Take
- Memory foam mattresses and pocket sprung mattresses
- King size, super king and double mattresses
- Wooden bed frames, divan bases as well as the headboards
- Sofa beds and futons
- Mattress toppers and bedding waste
- Broken or dismantled bed frames and slats
- Any other unwanted bedroom furniture or items
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
– SINGLE ITEM –
Prices start from £80 + VAT. This is ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a king-size memory foam mattress. It is often cheaper and faster than a council collection.
– QUARTER VAN LOAD –
Roughly 20–30 bin bags or 2–3 cubic yards. For example, this is perfect for clearing a couple of mattresses and an old bed frame from a spare guest room.
– HALF VAN LOAD –
Roughly 6 cubic yards. In comparison, this has a similar capacity to a standard 6-yard builders’ skip. It is ideal for a large master bedroom clear-out, allowing multiple mattresses and bedroom furniture to be removed with no permit fees required.
– FULL VAN LOAD –
12–14 cubic yards with an 800kg payload. This is equivalent to around two standard 8-yard skips, making it suitable for complete holiday let clearances and multiple beds or heavy furniture in a single trip.

Typical Jobs in Cleveleys
Guest House Clearance near the seafront: We cleared multiple heavy mattresses using a rapid Wait & Load service, helping the customer avoid strict parking controls and costly permit issues along busy coastal roads. This ensured the guest house could continue operating without disruption to guests or access.
Residential Bedroom Clearance inland: We removed a super king memory foam mattress as well as the bed frame from an upstairs bedroom, carefully navigating a narrow staircase and tight hallway. The customer avoided hiring a van and dealing with restrictive local tip permit systems.
Holiday Let Waste near the promenade: We cleared old beds and mattresses from a first-floor holiday apartment, safely carrying everything down the stairs by hand. This meant the owners avoided the risks of exposed coastal conditions and the complications of using an unsuitable skip on busy seafront streets.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No. Our two-man team collects from upstairs bedrooms, basements and apartments. We handle all the heavy lifting and carefully protect your walls throughout the process.
Do you take large/awkward items (e.g. American fridges/corner sofas)?
Yes. We have the vehicles and equipment to handle the largest and most awkward items, including super-king memory foam mattresses and heavy wooden bed frames.
Is your disposal legal?
Yes. As a fully licensed Environment Agency registered carrier (CBDU409710), we ensure your Duty of Care is fully met. We guarantee 100% legal disposal and recycling at a licensed transfer station.
Does the local council collect from inside my house?
No. For example, council services are strictly kerbside only, which can be difficult for residents in Cleveleys, especially in homes with narrow staircases or where heavy lifting is not possible.
I live on a narrow street in Cleveleys, can you still help?
Yes. Even in tight coastal residential streets, our highly mobile vans can access most properties easily. This makes us a practical Skip Hire Alternative with no permits required.
Can I take my own mattress to the local tip?
You can, although you should be aware that local tips often operate strict permit systems for vans and may refuse certain loads. We remove the hassle, heavy lifting and travel for you entirely.
Save your back and your walls!
