Had very heavy sofa to scrap, immediate quote given over the phone with rough collection time the following day. Mike and his helper phoned to say they would arrive 40 minutes later and were bang on time, efficient and excellent service. We have no problems recommending this company, first class from start to finish.

What We Take
- Sectional and also corner sofas
- Electric and manual recliners
- Chesterfields and also any traditional suites
- Heavy sofa beds as well as futons
- Armchairs and footstools
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+VAT. For example, this is ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a large two-seater sofa or heavy recliner.
- Quarter Van Load: A quarter van load is perfect for a complete three-piece suite removal from a family living room.
- Half Van Load: This option is comparable to a standard builders’ skip and is also ideal for clearing multiple rooms of furniture and large household items.
- Full Van Load: This is a large capacity option equivalent to roughly two standard skips, making it ideal for full house clearances, large property overhauls or situations where multiple rooms of bulky items need to be removed in one efficient visit.
You only pay for the exact volume you use, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air.

Typical Jobs in Cheadle Hulme
Sofa Bed Removal in Bruntwood:
– We cleared a heavy corner sofa bed from a first-floor apartment, helping to avoid the high permit costs and street restrictions that come with placing a skip on the road.
Lounge Furniture Clearance near Abney Hall:
– We removed a complete leather suite using our wait-and-load service, which helped us navigate the mature tree canopies that would have blocked a traditional skip lorry from lifting its arms.
Bulky Waste Collection on Kingsway:
– Our uniformed team carefully extracted oversized recliners from a 1930s semi-detached home. We protected the hallway walls and left the lounge floor fully swept clean afterwards.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
No. Our two-man team collects from upstairs apartments, basements or any room in your home. We do all the heavy lifting safely so you do not have to lift a finger.
- Do you take large or awkward items like corner sofas?
Yes. We have the right vehicles and tools to handle heavy, oversized items and we can dismantle large corner sofas and recliners if needed to remove them safely.
- Is your disposal legal?
Yes. We are fully licensed waste carriers (CBDU409710) and provide a digital Waste Transfer Note every time. We ensure your furniture is recycled legally through authorised facilities.
- Does Stockport Council collect from inside my house?
No. However, Stockport Council operates strict curbside-only collections, which can be inconvenient for residents in apartments or homes with delicate driveways.
- I live on a tree-lined street in Cheadle Hulme, can you still help?
Yes. For example, mature trees and low branches can make skip placement difficult, but our mobile vans do not require overhead clearance for lifting or access.
- Can I take my own sofa to the Adswood Road tip?
You can. However, the Adswood Road site often operates a strict one-in-one-out system during busy times, meaning long waits and possible van permit restrictions.
Save your back and your walls!
