Fantastic service. I had been holding onto some old items in the garden that were difficult to remove. The 2 lads that came were highly professional and friendly and removed them swiftly. All for decent price too. Will definitely use again.

Excellent. They let us know what time they will be here, turned up on time. Carried a washing machine down steep stairs through a narrow gap. Then took 2 items away, up the same steps. Friendly efficient. Highly recommend

Why Choose Us for Appliance Removal in Castleford?
We Collect From Inside
Unlike Wakefield Council collections that are strictly kerbside only, we come directly into your kitchen, utility room or cellar. You do not need to drag heavy items outside yourself.
Protection & Care
Moving heavy white goods through narrow terraced doors requires professional care. We use protection where needed to look after your flooring and doorways, ensuring no damage to your property.
Speed
We offer AM or PM slots with a quick call ahead so you are never left waiting around. Therefore, if your new appliance is arriving today, our same-day service options ensure the old one is removed before the delivery driver arrives.
No Driveway Damage
Finally, Castleford’s mining history means some properties face subsidence risks, making heavy skips a potential hazard for block paving. Our mobile service avoids skips entirely, helping protect your driveway from unnecessary damage.
The Rubbish Removers vs. Wakefield Council Bulk Collection

What We Take
- Fridges and Freezers: American style, chest freezers, under counter units.
- Washing Machines & Tumble Dryers: Carefully removed without causing water spills.
- Cookers & Ovens: Electric ranges, standard ovens and also microwaves.
- Other Household Items: Sofas, mattresses as well as general bulky waste collection.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Our pricing is completely transparent and based entirely on volume and weight. You only pay for the exact space you fill, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air.
Single Item: Prices start from £80 + VAT. This option is ideal for a standalone bulky item such as a fridge or washing machine. It is often cheaper and faster than council collections.
Quarter Van Load: In addition, this option is perfect for removing multiple appliances during a small kitchen upgrade.
Half Van Load: This offers a capacity comparable to a standard builders skip. It is ideal for a full kitchen strip-out with zero permit fees required.
Full Van Load: Finally, this is a large-capacity payload suitable for major residential property clearances, including multiple appliances and bulky household items.

Typical Jobs in Castleford
Appliance Removal In Glasshoughton: Recently, we removed a broken washing machine and fridge directly from a kitchen. The customer avoided the hassle and delays caused by busy weekend queues at the local tip.
Bulky Waste Collection In A Colliery Row: We carefully navigated narrow terraced streets to remove multiple white goods from a property. The customer avoided the need for a skip permit entirely.
New Build Estate Clearance Near Xscape: We removed packaging waste and old appliances from a newly occupied home. Our mobile vans easily navigated tight cul-de-sacs, making the clearance quick and efficient.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I Need To Get The Item To The Ground Floor?
No. Our trained team collects from upstairs flats, cellars and upper-floor utility rooms. We handle all the lifting safely for you.
Do You Take Large Or Awkward Items Like American Fridges?
Yes. We have the correct vehicles and manual handling equipment to remove large and heavy appliances with ease.
Is Your Disposal Legal?
Yes. We are an Upper Tier Waste Carrier under licence CBDU409710. All appliances are processed through licensed WEEE recycling facilities, ensuring full duty of care compliance.
Does Wakefield Council Collect From Inside My House?
No. The council operates a strict kerbside-only policy. This can be very difficult for residents in Castleford’s traditional terraced rows with no front gardens for storage.
I Live On A Narrow Street In Castleford, Can You Still Help?
Yes. We understand that parking in older mining villages can be tight. Our mobile vans allow fast loading without blocking the street like a traditional skip would.
