I’m extremely happy with the service! They replied to my enquiry immediately and were very polite, friendly and professional — unlike some other companies I contacted. They arrived within just half an hour, which was amazing. The whole process was quick, easy and completely hassle-free. I was also able to pay by card and received a receipt, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this company. Thank you so much! 😊

From making first contact with The Rubbish Removers to them taking what I needed removing and finished the job, was first class service. No hidden charges, no issues with me living in a tower block, they simply took the job on and did so with excellence from start to finish. Cannot praise them enough and would highly recommend others who are looking for a company who deals with waste removals.

Why Choose Us for Fridge Removal in Birkenhead?
We Collect From Inside: Unlike Wirral Council’s curbside rules, our in-house teams come directly into your kitchen, lounge, or basement. We also do all the heavy lifting so you do not have to drag a heavy appliance to the pavement.
Speed: We offer a fast, reliable same-day service option. Therefore if your new fridge is arriving today, we can clear the old one out of the way immediately.
Protection & Care: Moving large refrigeration units through the narrow doorways of classic Birkenhead terraces requires skill. We take care of your property, protecting floors, walls, and doorways while removing the appliance.
All Styles Taken: We have the vehicles and tools to handle any bulky waste collection. We also take everything from standard tall fridges to massive double-door American fridge freezers.

Typical Jobs in Birkenhead
Appliance Removal in Hamilton Square: We cleared a massive American fridge freezer via a careful Wait & Load service to avoid parking suspensions in the busy Georgian conservation area.
Terrace Kitchen Clear-out near Birkenhead Docks: We safely navigated a narrow back entry to remove an old chest freezer and multiple under-counter units directly from the property.
WEEE Recycling in Prenton: A homeowner needed urgent fridge removal. Our two-man team carried the unit down a flight of stairs, ensuring zero damage to the newly painted hallway.
How It Works
1. Get a Quote: Give us a call on 0151 271 3348, fill in our contact form, or WhatsApp a photo of your fridge to 07802 860 731.
2. We Arrive: Our two-man team arrives within a specific agreed window and calls 30 minutes prior to getting there.
3. We Remove: First, we safely disconnect the unit, carefully carry it out of your kitchen, and sweep the floor completely clean.
4. Recycling: Every unit goes to an authorised treatment facility where it is safely de-gassed and then processed for proper recycling.
Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
Single Item
Prices start from £80+VAT. Therefore perfect for a standalone bulky item like a large chest freezer or an American style fridge.
Quarter Van Load
Roughly 20 to 30 bin bags. Also ideal if you are clearing out a couple of old kitchen appliances alongside general household waste.
Half Van Load
Comparable capacity to a standard builders skip. Therefore a great choice for a full kitchen strip-out or shed clearance without the need for an expensive skip permit.
Full Van Load
A large 800kg payload. So excellent for major commercial kitchen clearances or full property strip-outs.
You also only pay for the volume you use, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air. So get a firm price by sending a photo of your appliance to 07802 860 731.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to get the item to the ground floor?
A: Absolutely not. Instead, our professional two-man team collects from upstairs flats, basements, and tight kitchens, doing all the heavy lifting safely for you.
Q: Do you take large or awkward items like American fridges?
A: Yes, we take them all. We have the right vehicles, lifting equipment, and experience to handle the largest and most awkward refrigeration units.
Q: Is your disposal legal?
A: Yes, entirely legal. Furthermore we are a fully licensed carrier of waste (Licence CBDU409710) and we issue a Duty of Care Waste Transfer Note with every collection for your peace of mind.
Q: Does Wirral Council collect from inside my house?
A: No, council collections are strictly curbside only. This is exceptionally difficult for many residents living in dense red-brick terraces around Birkenhead, which is why we offer a comprehensive indoor collection service.
Q: I live on a narrow street in Birkenhead, can you still help?
A: Yes we can. We know that parking around the town centre and older terraced streets can be extremely tight. Our local crews use mobile vans to easily navigate narrow back entries where skip wagons simply cannot reach.
Q: Can I take my own fridge to Bidston Moss HWRC?
A: You can, but it requires heavy lifting and a suitable vehicle. Bidston Moss is also incredibly busy, and if you hire a van to transport your fridge, you will face strict council permit restrictions and height barriers.
