The Client Brief

The client is a bathroom fitter who regularly uses The Rubbish Removers on projects where a skip cannot be placed safely or conveniently.

On this job, the old bathroom had been removed as the first stage of the refurbishment. The rip-out produced a mixture of bagged tiles, plasterboard, timber, pipework, metal fittings, sanitaryware and general renovation waste.

The fitter wanted the trade waste removed straight away rather than leaving it in the customer’s rear yard until the end of the project. Removing the waste promptly kept the property tidy and meant the homeowner did not have to keep a skip outside while the fitter installed the new bathroom.

The Access Challenge

We could not park directly beside the waste.

The team parked on the main road and carried everything approximately 50 metres from the rear yard to the vehicle.

Although the total volume was modest, some of the items were dense or awkward to handle. Bags of tiles and removed sanitary ware required controlled lifting while loose plasterboard, pipework and timber needed carrying separately.

How We Completed This Hale Barns Trade Waste Collection

A two-person team attended within 24 hours of the call.

The crew first separated the loose materials from the bagged waste. They then moved the heavier items in manageable sections and kept the route from the rear yard clear throughout.

Once the waste reached the vehicle, the team loaded it efficiently into the 14-yard caged tipper. The full collection filled around one-third of the vehicle and weighed approximately 300kg.

The loading took around 30 minutes.

Before leaving, the team swept the patio and removed the remaining loose debris.
