Typical Load Sizes & Pricing Guide
- Single Item: Prices start from £80+VAT, equivalent to 10 to 15 bags. Ideal for clearing out a few heavy garden tools or a small pile of leftover shed panels.
- Quarter Van Load: Roughly 20 to 30 bin bags or 2 to 3 cubic yards. In other words, this is equivalent to a fully dismantled 6×4 shed or a small Altrincham garden tidy up.
- Half Van Load: Roughly 6 cubic yards or 50 to 60 bin bags. Comparable capacity to a standard builders skip but with no permit fees or a skip sitting on your driveway.
- Full Van Load: 12 to 14 cubic yards, holding 100+ bin bags or an 800kg payload. In short, this is a large capacity equivalent to roughly two standard 8-yard skips, perfect for large landscaping clear outs.
Get a Price: Send a photo of your pile to 07802 860 731. You only pay for the volume you use, unlike a skip where you pay for fresh air.
Typical Jobs in Altrincham
- Shed clearance in Hale: We cleared a large rotten shed and garden waste via our wait and load service to avoid squeezing a skip through narrow gated driveways.
- Garden structure removal in Bowdon: We dismantled an old summerhouse and also removed heavy timber, protecting the customer’s high value block paving from heavy skip damage.
- Patio clear out in Sale: We removed dismantled shed panels as well as old fencing directly from the rear garden, saving the homeowner from carrying dirty wood through their Altrincham Victorian semi-detached property.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you take bags of soil, rubble and bricks?
A: Yes we do. We charge by weight as well as volume, happily taking heavy inert waste from shed bases that many others in Altrincham refuse.
Q: Do you dismantle sheds or garden structures?
A: Yes. Full dismantling and removal is a core part of our service. Our professional 2 man teams bring all the right tools to safely take down the structure.
Q: Will you clean up the mess afterwards?
A: Yes. We always sweep up, making sure no rusty nails, felt or splinters are left behind on your lawn or patio.
Q: Do I need a skip permit for Altrincham?
A: Only if you use a skip. Trafford Council requires permits for skips placed on the road, which is slow and costly. Our wait and load service requires no permit at all.
Q: Will Trafford Council take my DIY or garden waste?
A: Most councils, including Trafford Council, strictly refuse bagged soil, rubble and dismantled sheds in their bulky waste collections. They also charge heavily for green bin collections, making our service a much faster alternative.
Q: Can you collect from properties with difficult access in Altrincham?
A: Yes, absolutely. We frequently navigate the narrow gated driveways of Hale and Bowdon, taking great care not to damage high value resin driveways.
Q: Can I take my own shed to the local tip?
A: You can, but Woodhouse Lane Recycling Centre in Altrincham is small and strictly policed for trade waste. If you borrow a van to move the heavy timber, you will face strict commercial vehicle rules and ID checks. We handle the lifting and the legal disposal for you.
